When the days seem to DRAG.....

gielz by gielz Crawling(October 2008) (rank 500+)

I feel like life can be a BIT too MUCH....having a baby all day 24/7.....especially when a baby is as clingy as mine... and cries when I lay him down to his little cot. Sometimes I think as though he KNOWS exactly how to manipulate me to

give in everytime he cries. And when he cries too much....I feel like I am a failure....

WHAT do I do..?? I've done the best I could....-sing him songs, craddle him, rock him gently, change his nappy, check the temperature of the room (hot or cold) and then feed him on me...which seems to be the only thing that works, NOT all that was mentioned earlier.

SOOOO when days seem to DRAG.....Sit down, relax, inhale and exhale and drink a glass of water (maybe even two) then go in front of the mirror and look yourself in the eye and tell yourself that "YOU ARE DOING A GREAT JOB...LOVING YOUR BABY, KEEPING HIM SAFE, and TENDING TO ALL HIS ****"REAL" NEEDS. HE IS GOING TO BE FINE" then SMILE

I know I know, it may sound silly...but like my nurse suggested...POSITIVE way to talking even to one's self changes the course of our daily lives...

****"REAL" means whether he really needs another nappy change or whether he is hungry or all the basic needs that has to be met.

I hope this is helpful as it is for me.....
