weird nipple problem
Im 14weeks pregnant and today in the shower noticed my actual nipples have these little bits of brown on them. When I washed them, it would come away like skin. Does anyone know what this is? Ive never noticed it before. Also In the middle it looks as though they are slit, i see white skin.
I have no itching and no discharge.

Christmas Traditions
Now my son is 6 I am finding this year he is really taking in everything about Christmas and asking me questions about everything.
I notice how some things he takes off tv, and I am now wondering how we fit that in to our traditions. EG As a child we put a stocking at the end of our bed and it was filled with small toys - all the big toys came from mum and dad. I would like to do that. Whereas my husband got a big present off Santa, and, now, my son is seeing on tv how Santa leaves lots of presents under the tree and he also sees that his cousin has different traditions and it is confusing.
So, I was wondering, what do you do? and how do you work out different family traditions and what is now common expectations??

coming to terms
I need some help from experts on this as im not really informed on this as im her father and i dont have family members near me that can help and her best friends not really the best to ask.
ok my Q is
my 12 yr old daughter has just gotten her first period ( yah) when we spoke about it she broke down in tears and wanted me to get rid of it. i explained to her its only for a week then every 28 days give or take after that, and that its part of becoming a woman.
she was so upset over this she even went online and tried to find a site that gives her info on how to make them stop permanently or to find a dr that would allow her to have a hysterectomy. i tried to explain to her that she cannot do that, and that hysterectomies stop women having babies ect. she told me she doesnt want babies doesnt want to grow up, when i questioned her bout this she told me her best friends older sister told them that once you got your period guys want to have sex with you.

Destructive angry toddler?
Hey guys. Its been a very rough week for my little man and everyone else in the house. He's obviously got something going on but we can't figure it out for the life of us. He is in daycare 4 days a week while I work/study. I also work the occasional saturday an did the one just gone. My partner had our son for the day and said he was untolerable for most of the day. He smashed our oven door (by climbing on it to get something off the bench) he ripped a door handle off and just trashed everything. He is definetely going through another growth spurt but I didn;'t think it could affect his behaviour so harshley. He is usally a pretty good kid but tje last week or 2 he argues every point and flat out refuses to listen to anything we say to him. We've spoken to his daycare and they say they are not having problems with him atm. I am sarting to feel that my returning to work has had this afect on my little man and can't help but feel guilty. We gradually built up to the 4 days a week so it wouldn't be too much all at once (has taken a yr to do). He now cries when I drop him off but then doesn't want to go when I come to pick him up. I'm really starting to get over all the tantrums and destruction. We have one day a week of what ever he wants to do, and another of just bumming around home and then we also have a family catch up day too. also if its any help, he is 3.5y/o.
Does any one have any suggestions. I don't think its lack of attention or a behavioural problem but for him to be acting out there must be some issue, I just can't figure out what. By the way he has been in 4 days a week for about 6 weeks + but this behaviour is about 2 weeks old. Even bed time is a hassle again after having that under contrl for almost a yr. Is there any end? :(

feeding
My daughter is 3 days old, she has been feeding almost constantly until this morning, she had a good feed at 2am and since then hasnt really fed for more than 10-15 minutes at the most and usually only 6 hours (if she goes past 6 hours then i wake her, which is hard) i saw a midwife today when she got her guthry test done and she said not to stress and to let her sleep for up to 7-8 hours, I have never heard of letting a new born baby sleep for that long. im worried she isnt getting enough. Can anyone advise on this, can it be normal on day 3?
Also my milk came in today and under one arm seems to be a little inflamed and really sore! i havent got a fever or anything like that, is this normal for when my milk comes through. is there something i can do to help it?
Thank you in advance

teaching a terrified toddler to swim
i'm trying to teach my 17 month old daughter to swim, but she's terrified of swimming. she loves being in the water, but as soon as i get her face wet, or lie her on her belly/back she starts panicking and screaming till i take her out of the pool. even through the panic she has been learning, she can swim from my arms to the step, but she then gets straight out and runs away crying. any advice on how to help her overcome her fears?

reasonable bed time
My son is 2 1/2 currently he is in bed by 8pm and asleep by 8.30-9pm
I think that is too late my partner thinks it is ok.
I would like it to be 7.30pm
What is a reasonable time for a toddler to go to bed? what time do your kids go to bed?
Thanks

Bugs hair isnt quite long enough for it all to be up.. so we have been putting it half up and using hair spray..
This is the 3rd time i found nits in a month.
She was all clear on monday when i did her hair (day 14 after we first found them)
So shes got them from either daycare, playgroup or youngmums.

Does anyone know.....
If there is a book out there with a list of colours and preservatives and what foods they are in.
My son has many allergies including colours and preservatives and someone i was talking to on the weekend said there was a book that could fit into your handbag that had lists of colours and preservatives in it and what food they were in and if they were safe. To me this sounds like something that would make my life easy as it would able me to make split second judgement as to what my boy can eat.
If anyone could help me with this you would be a lifesaver.
Thanks in advance.
