Good time to start having kids?
Hi there, I just wanted to ask Mums out there when they think a good time to start having kids is? I am 21 and married, just finishing study and so is my husband. I am desperate to have kids and have many reasons why, (one being that I lost an 8yr old brother 10 years ago and it would be great for my family to have a young one around- especially to help my Mum grieve as everytime she sees a young boy she is sad, I would love to change this) Of course i really just want to be a MumWhat do you guys think is a good age to start having kids?

3 Year Old Nightmares
Hi! My 3 year old has just started to have "horrible dreams" - she is waking in the middle of most nights and hollering "mummy!" repeatedly.
When her sister was about 3 she did the same thing, night after night, for about 8 weeks :(. I asked everyone I knew what they did and told her 1. we don't allow monsters in this house, 2. jump on a fast horse iin your dreams and ride away, 3. pray to Jesus - the monsters are scared of him, 4. go to sleep thinking of something happy to fill your mind up with happy thoughts 5. read "Under the BEd" book (where the monsters turn out to be scared of the child). In the end, she woke one morning, told me she had "prayed to Jesus then jumped on a white horse and escaped from the monsters" who weren't as fast as the flying horse!
I wasn't on Minti then, so I thought I would also see what worked for your children? I REALLY dont want this time to last as long as 8 weeks!

Cheap gifts...
with christmas only a few weeks away (like 6 or 7 I think) I need to know what I can make or buy that is really cheap but not crap. I have my 2 children (under 8) and 4 nieces and nephew (under 6) and in laws. We are completely broke (I mean completely to a point where I have had to make arrangements with all my utility providers and phone and net to pay it off over the next few months till next year and hopefully be able to sort things out)
Please I desperately need ideas

When is a good time to start the whole decorating your house, putting up the tree etc?? I know traditionally it is the 12th of December but with the shops and all of that I was wondering when is a good time and not too early?

am i pregnant?
i came off on the 24th oct,and then slept with my boyfriend unprotected on the 1st nov.i always go to the toilet straight away afterwards to get rid of anything up inside me.i have recently been noticing signs,e.g.sore breasts,tiredness,irratable,bloatedness,back ache,feeling sick but not being sick.i havnt been on the pill for over 2 yrs now as i didnt think i could have kids.and have never fell pregnant before.so i dont know??????

I logged in to minti and found in my inbox a letter from a very newly joined member supposedly dying of cancerand wanting to donate money to the poor and so forth. The letter also contained a tonne of religous BS!! I found it rather offensive and am not sure what to do or if anyone else has recieved this letter also!

Should I start formula?
Baby was breastfed for 8 months. Did not want to give her formula after my milk stopped and she only ate table food since then. She is now 12 months old and normal weight but I started to worry if I did the best for her. Should I start the formula after 12 months ??

Help...
Hi all, i know this is very unexpected but i am proud to announce i am 10 weeks pregnant ! After trying for so long and one miscarriage im treading on thin ice in this first trimester and am up to my neck in stress that the baby and everything will be ok.
I need to know urgently if its ok, at 10 weeks, to have a spa bath, with jets going? I've heard pregnant women should not get into a spa bath for some reason and am not sure on this one?
I would appreciate any and as much advice on this subject as possible, thank you all

I want a baby and I am 20years old
I desperately want a baby! I have been with my fiance for over three years and everyone that meets us says that we are soul mates. ALL i think about it babies and everytime I get to look after one my heart soars and I feel like I am doing what I was born for. Is this really pathetic? I know I can't have one yet but would it be so awful if i did? Im not silly I know its alot of work and you need to be financially sound, bu I know I would be a great Mum I am so ready to dedicate my life to children. What are your thoughts please?

Could i be pregnant?
I missed my last period and my next one is due today and has not shown... I havent had unprotected sex, only kind of once and my partner pulled out before ejaculating. I have been cramping today and was also cramping when my last period was due and did not come.. i took a couple of pregnancy tests after i missed my last period and they came back negative. I havent had any pregnancy like symptoms.. any thoughts?

My 4 year old write backwards
My 4-year old daughter sometimes write backwards. If I spell love to her, she sometimes writes it as evol. Also, when she writes numbers or alphabets, she writes some of them in mirror image way. It's hard for me to explain but only when you put the paper in front of the mirror you can see the numbers/alphabets in correct shapes. Not only the shape is mirror-image appearance, the order is backwards too. She writes twelve as 21, thirteen as 31 and so on..
Is the way her brain works different or is it something to do with her eyes?

mummy wanting to work while kids at school and daycare
i am a mum of our kids and since they have all started school or daycare i would like to get out into the workforce , but i would love to work from home as my disability doesnt allow me to do much
so my question is do you guys know of any good stay at home work that i can do to start bringing in an extra paycheck

Disrespect only to parents, very good to other people
My 9-year-old daughter has excellent manner anywhere but at home. She respects every one at school and other public places. But at home she has no respect at mum and dad. She talks back, talk loud/yell. Why can she be so different at home and in public? My friends don't believe me if I told them that she's so disrespect at home since she's a very good girl anywhere else. I try so many things to 'change' her. I'm a gentle kind of person. I don't really talk loud until she does it first. I feel like I argue a lot with her and we end up screaming to one another. At the end of the day she apologize, cries and looks like she regrets everything. I want to believe her, but as soon as she wakes up in the morning she disrespect me again. How should I handle this?
