Devastating news.

My fertility doctor gave me devastating news that my ovaries do not function any more. I am 42 and my last period was on Oct 28 th and so far i haven`t got my periods. so i think i am on peri menopause ( although i haven`t been diagnoised yet ).
He did few procedures on me such as : Blood work on my 2nd and 1th day of my period. Also he did radiology on day 5 of my period and the day before i had to have Clomid for the procedure. My husbands semen analysis.
He said that my only option would be to look for an egg donor, but in my country egg donation is not legal, so it should be from some one whom i know and who aggrees. I am so ashamed of the fact that i wont be able to conceive. The worst part of it was that me and my husband do not think that he is good at delivering bad news to a couple who want a child so bad. he did not seem supportive at all. while i was still emotional with tears running down my cheeks he handed me kleenx and took off saying that you have my contact # , so when you find some one let me know. May be i could be wrong as he may be used to to delivering devastating news to many couples by now.
I do not feel any dryness in my vagina nor do i have hot flashes. I still feel the sexual drive. I am always active.
Right now i am very emotional and stressed out.
May i please know my next best option.

Thank you for your help in advance.

15 months old weaning from the breast.

Hello all,

Since a few days ago my baby has completely decided he wants absolutely nothing to do with my breast.....he kind of gradually started dropping feedings that used to be regular, but now altogether he has decided he wants none of it. At the same token, he has decided that he wants to sleep through the night, he doesn't call me anymore for a night feeding.

I really wanted to keep breastfeeding him for a little longer, but I just don't know how to get him back to keep doing it. He just rolls around, gets up and walks away, really...like that. I've been pumping and he still drinks his breastmilk from a bottle, he just won't take it directly from the breast anymore.

Has this happened to any of you? did your child lead the weaning process?....I honestly feel kind of sad, even though now that he's sleeping through the night I should be feeling glad, but I'm not really....I miss breastfeeding. :-(

I guess I'll keep pumping, I've tried many things for the last 3 days to try to get him back on the breast, but he just won't. We tried denying the bottle, spending more extra time together, etc, etc to not avail.

Ditropan

I have a 5 year old boy (middle Child) due to be 6 in 2 weeks, who is still wetting during the day.

He does not wet at night, we have been to dr / specialist with him whom insists it is muscle related & prescribed him Ditropan, I am wondering if anyone out there has a child who has taken this medication & if so what type of reactions have your child had ?

I see the flushed cheeks, but I find him hyper, insolent, cranky, moody, wont sleep before 11pm at night even though he has been put to bed at 8pm, he seems to have gotten more difficult in the time he has been taking this medication.

Any feedback would be welcome.

should i delay toilet training?

my 18 month ols girl is showing all the signs of wanting to toilet train- she wipes herself when i changer her nappy, she lets me know when she's pooping, she takes off her own nappy and puts it in the bin, she wakes up from naps with a dry nappy, she follows me to the toilet, hands me toilet paper, and flushes the toilet herself, she can name lots of body parts, etc etc. but there is a lot of stressful things going on at the moment, her dad joined the army and has been away for 2 months, he gets back in a week, then he leaves 2 weeks later, she wont see him till february, i'm flying across the country to visit family she doesnt know in january, then in april her dad goes away for another 2 months, then after that we are moving house to another town, she will be 2 years old by then. should i try and toilet train her now, and risk going backwards because of all the moving and changes, or wait till we move and get her settled in the new house at 2?

Breast feeding

My little girl is now 11 wks and I am continuing to feed her (yay - v. proud!!) but I just dont have enough milk for her. I have to suppliment at least one feed a day and while I know this isn't a health concern for her I'd just like to know if I can increase my supply. I know the volume of milk I produce can't be increased now but what if I feed her more regularly? Can I increase the number of feeds per day and give her more that way or will she just be getting smaller feeds more often??? Not sure if I'm being clear....

Inappropiate behaviour for a 13yr old?

My brother (almost 30 yrs old) was wrestling with my 13 yr old daughter last nite. My daughter was laying on her back and my brother pinned her down my laying on top of her, his front to hers (sorry about the description), I immediately told him to get off of her, that was "crass" and inappropiate to pin her down in that way.
It caused me to "flash back" to the sexual abuse and "rape" I suffered as a child. I was really upset about last nite.
I feel that he should at 30 know that is inappropiate to do to a 13 yr sexually mature (she has her period) child. He acts like he's 15 yrs old and his lastest girlfriend is 19yrs.
I guess my Q is, am I over reacting to the incident or am I justified to be outraged and angry? Cause I'm furious that he treated my daughter like that......
