Re: removeal of spikes

I'm not sure that this will help that much.....(I have used this with my kids though!)

When I was a young boy I had several splinters in my hand, and each time my Dad tried to remove them I would pull my hand away in anticipation of pain. Well my Dad being the clever man he is, promptly asked me to show him my left big toe.

I took off my shoes and socks, proudly showed him my toe......the next thing I know he pricked my toe with the sewing needle he was using to remove my splinters. Because it hurt a bit, I was focused on my now sore toe....within a minute my splinters had been pulled....

I swear I never felt them coming out, I was so focused on my poor toe.

But in your case I believe that maybe taking your boy to the local doctor, and the doc might give him something to numb the pain so you can remove the spines.

Re: removeal of spikes

Try using some sticky tape or duct tape to pull them all out in one hit? - Depending on how big they are.

Sorry I cant think of anything else atm

Re: removeal of spikes

you could put some bonjela around them it should numb the area.  Also you can get that gel they use in hospitals for needles at most chemists.  That will numb the area effectivly too.
