I having trouble convincing my daughter and husband to come back to NJ for jobs. They live near Rochester NY and both can't find work. I told my daughter to come by herself without the family to find work but she wants to bring her two kids and think I can babysit. I would love to but I trying to find work to. Can someone help.
Thanks

Re: daughter

Finding a job is so tough today.  We were just talking about the huge amount of people that we know relocating for work. If you need to find work, that is what you have to do.  Helping is great when you can.  If you find work and they join you maybe one parent is going to have to stay with the kiddies until they can find good child care that they can afford.  Combining living would save until you get a footing and offering that is helping a lot. Bets of luck!

Re: daughter

There are worse things than not being able to find work. Being seperated from your children and partner are one of them. Having a well meaning but nagging family member that thinks they know best insisting that you do what they think is right rather than letting you live your own life is another.

I suggest that you let your daughter and her partner know that your door is open if they need your help, but let them make the decision for themselves about where they want to live.
