After pregnancey Q's

Just a couple of Q's for you :) They are all together because they all started around the same time, if they are linked or not I dont know, just so you get a full picture.
I am currently "sick" (head feels "full" sore throte blocked sineces etc)
My belly button is sore and red (is that normal?)
My period is really heavy! I had a shower and a few hours later a maternaty pad was full! (this is my first period after being pregnant, my daughter is 6 weeks old)
What do you think this sounds like? Im thinking of going to the dr tomorrow, just want to know if anyone else has experianced anything like this?

Re: After pregnancey Q's

You shoud be having ur 6 week check soon so share yur concerns then. But when my son was 3 months old i got glandular fever, it was around this time of year (im in aus) I got pretty sick from it, very sore throat was the first sign, then headaches and being tired. We didnt know I had it for a few months, i had really abd anxiety from it cos i didnt know why i was feeling how i was.

There is a blood test to see if its that and if it was that and gone, its still in ur system and will show up. Once you have had it, ur immune to it, 90% of ppl will only get it once.

Re: After pregnancey Q's

Do you have a temp??  Also is you period dark in color smelly or are you passing clots?  You could have an infection of some sort.  I did after my first baby, and it wasn't pick up until he was about 6 wks.

I would go and see the doctor, and talk to them about it.

Re: After pregnancey Q's

Well your immune system is probably a bit weaker then it usually would be so thats why you feel sick

Did your belly button pop out while you were preg?? cuz mine did n going back to normal it was pretty red n gross loooking.. it still looks ferral 4 months on (it was like a whole inch out n its an innie)

And its normal to get a very heavy period first one... bt a few hours seems like alot so ya definatly should get that checked out to make sure.

You should be due for your 6 week postnatal check anyway arent you so maybe you should go to it today instead of waiting

good luck
