No matter how old your child is, it is best to make sure they get ample amount of rest. Kids are always on the go, especially on activities they like to do. But as parents, it's our job to balance the fun and rest. :) You don't want your child to burn out.

 I am also confused as to this question he is only 3 and it is good for him to be outside playing. What would you rather him do? Sit in front a t.v? or maybe try and force him to learn how to do maths or english or something? You can try and get him to sit down every now and then to get him to look at some letters or numbers but if you try and force him it will do more damage then good!

Also whats wrong with being a vollyball player, maybe if he got good enough he could become a olympic athlete!!!

Also im kinda worried about you saying control him, no one should be controled at any age and this may affect his learning if you try and control what he does

How old is your son? Most kids change their mind in late high school anyway. Instead of trying to stop him try to incourage him but also ask him what he wants to do part time to pay for the equipment. Otherwise he will rebel and just concentrate on trying to prove that he is good enough. This advise is for someone around 15 years old, not a young child

I'm having trouble understanding your question. Are you saying that your 3 year old loves to play volleyball and you are afriad that this will affect his career?

If so, my advice is to forget about careers until your child is at least in high school. Let him be a 3 year old and play.
