What are natural ways to help pre-schoolers get rid of the congestion from colds and flus in the chest and sinuses?

ok this sounds disgusting but i swear it works wonders,  try and get the

m to snort warm salty water through ttheir nose and spit it out their mouths. Probably best to do it out side, it works wonders.

That makes sense... My son had a snotty nose and we took him to the beach because it was so hot. He accidently face planted in to the water and afterwards all of the snot drained out and it had cleared away the infection.

As we all know, antibiotics will not help to get rid of a cold or flu.

Here is a list of things you can do:

Use vicks vapour rub in the chest while they sleep.

Use a vaporizor while they sleep and in the room where they stay during the day.

Push rest and fluids.

Use a bland diet to rest the gut.

As far as "natural" I would consider all of them natural because the child is not ingesting a medication. If a fever is present you would pretty  much not have a choice and you would need to use a fever reducer.
