was this a government thing?  I must have missed it last year we were so broke Christmas didn't happen. 

after reading this yesterday i rang centerlink myself as i wanted to know myself about this

and i am sorry to say that there will be no $1000 per child this year

was informed that i was just a one off last year due to rudd's stimulus packages

the best we get for this year is what we have already got and the small increase in our benefits from centerlink of about $10 per fortnight

that suck's i know i could really use that money with christmas around the corner and being completely broke myself and i dont think that i am the only one that could really use this money either

I doubt it. We would have heard about it by now.

 It would be nice but i cant see why, that was just the stimulus, now we are in recovery they dont need to give out free money hehe :(

I hope so or poor Raiden will have to rely on both grandparents for presents this year.
