I got a camera a few weeks ago and its great, small, only $130 and its just one i chuck in my bag so i dont have to carry around my huge one, and my last one died and is now ambers toy hehe.
Only problem is it has double flash! whats the problem? all the photos of amber she has her eyes closed!!!!
I have tryed all the different flashes on it and they all have 2 flashes grrr. So i was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and what they did to fix it, i dont care if she ends up with red eye that can be fixed lol!!!!

Re: Photos!

have her close her eyes and tell her to open them on the count of 3, or when you say a certain word.

Re: Photos!

Ok, this is going to sound odd because it is difficult to explain, but I'll give it a go (I love a good challenge! LOL).

Modern cameras with flash function appear to have to flashes, but actually, they don't.  The first 'flash' is a light detection flash, meaning the camera you are using is detecting the type and quality of light that it is being used in.  If the camera determines the light quality is too low, then it will use the flash flash.

I have noticed with both my phone and seperate cameras that there is a box in the image area of the view screen.  That is the target area for the photo. When the camera is detecting light and other settings, the box target box on my cameras changes colour.  Red means the camera settings aren't right for the conditions, and the picture will come out rather blury.  Green means the conditions are right, and the shot has a higher chance of being 'perfect'.

As to how to turn that first 'flash' off, my experience is you can't unless you are using the camera outside, in bright sunlight- then it is a case of the camera doesn't need to detect the quality of light, it has already sensed the conditions and doesn't use the flash.

As most cameras these days are digital, it is always a good idea to play with the camera and learn what the settings are and what suits your needs etc.  The user manual should only ever be used as a guide.  Nothing beats experimenting.

Re: Photos!
Whatever it is its a pain in the butt! I tryed the red eye today and it had so many flashes i think she got use to it by the time it went to take the photo lol. I wish i could just have my old camera back, tho thsi one has this cute "magic" thing that is like different filters, they are fun to play with hehe. Yeah i should have tested it but its only a cheep one and i really didnt think i would have any problems with the flash! lol. and i probly wouldent have thought about it till actualy taking a photo of amber. Oh well i hope someone learns from this Thanx anyway :)
