Re: Braxton hicks.

I didn't get any braxton hicks contractions until quite late into the pregnancy with my first, the other 4 were different stories.

With each consecutive pregnancy, I was feeling the braxton hicks contractions earlier and earlier, and with my last, I was feeling them at just 16 weeks.  The theory there is that the more kids you have, the more used to pregnancy your body is and it holds onto memories of being pregnant.

What is interesting, is that if you have a baby 11 years or more after your last, your body doesn't remember being pregnant at all, and that pregnancy will be very close to your first.  Just another useful fact brought to you by the hoarder of useless facts

That was the joke here for a looooong time, in fact still is.  Up unitl Aralia was born last year, Les used to like reminding me that I had spent half of our relationship pregnant, and he was right. LOL.

Re: Braxton hicks.

I didnt even have Braxton hicks contractions with my 1st. But i had a few strong ones near the end with my 2nd. Just make sure they dont become to regular and strong otherwise you maybe going into labour and you should get checked.

You can always bring it up at your next appointment :)

Oh and if no one has warned you about after paines once you give birth then.... watch out hehe they hurt like labour (well mine did anyway) luckly someone had told me about them otherwise i would have been shocked lol.
