false negatives and implanon failure??

has anyone experienced a negative home pregnancy test whist actually being pregnant? what were the circumstances (ie. taking test too early, faulty test etc). Also, does anyone know of anyone who became pregnant with the implanon in?

I had a scare while on it but it was most definately negative.

I don't know anyone who got pregnant on it but have heard of people not getting it replaced soon enough and getting pregnant that way.

Re: false negatives and implanon failure??

thanks for that.  ive had mine in for 2 years now.....had some hormonal related symptoms for quite a few months when i first had it inserted, which had settled.  just recently i'd been having symptoms similar to pregnancy, but 2 tests said negative so i guess its still working    (not ready for a fourth child!)

Hello josierm!  Would you consider getting yourself a good check up, maybe hormone levels? I know you are a young woman but i felt like that at the start of perimenopause.  Take good care of yourself!

Re: false negatives and implanon failure??

Hi!

I had my bloods checked only a few weeks ago because I was having issues with low blood sugars.. everything came back normal.

I have put it all down to a combination of the implanon causing issues with my hormones, and become really unfit and tired from a neck and back problem.  I'm getting back on track now, starting up my exercise again and changing my diet  (now that physio has been stretched out to fortnightly).....hopefully i'll be feeling better soon.
