pregnancy achs and pains

i know back, leg, and stomach pains are normal during pregnancy. But i was just wondering if there is anything that anybody did throughout the day that helped with the pain.. Or even at night? I mean im only 6 months with all this pain, and hard to move, and if i have to go another 3 months i dunno what im gunna do. Even if the pain doesnt completely go away, does anybody have any tips that they can give me to just relieve the pain just a little bit without taking medication.

For leg aches

I had lots of leg cramps with my first pregnancy until I was told about a way to help. Sit with you legs out on a chiar in front of you. Point your toes forward then pull them back so you feel the calf muscles stretching. Repeat this for about ten to fifteen minutes or whenever you can. This completely stopped the cramps for me and helped with sleeping a little.

RE: Pregnancy ach's and pains

I went through everything you went through when i was 6 months pregnant. try laying down during the day, keep your leg's elevated i did that and it helped out with the pain a bit.. try not to be on your feet alot, or sit alot.. rotate it if you can. when you're laying down lay on your left side, thats the way i was suspose to lay because the blood rush's down quicker to the baby and what not and it's better for the baby. if someone at home is with you when you have back pain's, i would get someone to give you a light massage, it does help. i had my husband do it whenever he was home, and it worked! i hope i helped a bit!

yoga
I had a lot of trouble with my back during both my pregnancies; the second time around, I was also generally achy from tending to a toddler all day. I took a prenatal yoga class and loved it. It was incredibly relaxing and helped so much with all the little pains. And when I went into labor, the breathing exercises were much more effective than anything else I had been taught. I would suggest that you look for a small class taught by someone with experience teaching prenatal yoga; you can call your local YMCA or community center, or you can try a yoga studio. Look for an instructor who is willing to work with you and will listen to your specific concerns and issues. Don't push yourself; do only what is comfortable for you. My class met once a week, and the instructor suggested exercises--stretches and relaxation poses--that we could do at home or while we were in labor. I loved the class and found it so very helpful.

Re: yoga
thnx so much for the advice.. Because i live in a really tiny town of maybe 10,000 we dont have a YMCA, or any prenatal yoga classes. which really sucks. I do however have prenatal yoga and palaties DVD that i try to do as often as i can. I find they work, but mainly to only a certain extent... Thanx for the advice, and Ill definitely keep on doing my yoga!!
