Hi
Another thing is to get them to make a collage of pictures of themselves and decorate a cardboard frame
Fantastic for Rellies.
My sister actually makes us balls for the christmas tree with our names on them.
She sends a different style one each year.....she normally uses styrofoam balls and decorates them
We are going to be collecting ideas through next year and having a home made christmas...rather than the store brought commercial one...
Gifts from the heart usually mean more...and don't forget to wrap the pressies in home made xmas paper too.
Luv Deb

Hi,

I have written a couple of articles on things kds can make and do and some food idea's are in them.

One is "Fairy Crystalls" Sparkle Puff's"  great for wrapping in cellophane & giving to teachers etc.

Fairy Crystals Sparkle Puffs

Cooking with kids 2 yrs plus

This one isn't food, but a great idea for grand parents etc.
Plaster Baby/Child Feet replicas for under $10.00

These too make nice gifts and kids have a terrific time making them

Sun Catches

You might also find some idea's for non-food gifts here.
Activities to share with your Tween to early Teen age daughter/s

have fun and Merry christmas

I remember as kids we always used to get those plain rectangle biscuits (like the coffee ones nobody ever eats from the Family Assorted lol) and then put icing sugar and lollies on them. You can use four of them to make a simple "gingerbread" house.

Also, making chocolates is easy because all you need is a choccie mould and some choc bits. My 2.5 year old is helping make some for Christmas this year. Fun if you don't mind some mess!
