going back to work

hi i have just gone back to work after being home with the kids for 11yrs and i am not coping very well.. I'm not handling being away from the kids and hubby especially since the only hours i was given is for the weekends..... with a hubby that does afternoon shifts and kids in school it means that i am not getting any all together family time... hubby not coping either as he hates not having me around on weekends and feels like a single dad on weekends...

i sometimes feel like just throwing in the towel but i think other mums can go out there and do it why can't i?

does anyone have any advice on making this transaction any easier what i can do so im coping and the family is coping too?

I guess my advice is the obvious and I am sure you have already thought of it but here it is anyway - have you looks for a job that gives you hours during the week, then you will have the weekend to spend with your family?  It takes time to find a job that suits your needs and it also takes time to settle in.  My daughter is nearly 3 and it took a couple of months for me to settle into full time work.  Being away from her so much is really hard.

I can only imagine what it would be like after 11 years.  If this is what you really want you will find the balance and if it isn''t there is nothing to say that you shouldn't chuck it in.  Good Luck.
