Hey, I know this is a little too late but...

My husband wants to start a forum for mature age parents, grandparents. etc.  I'm going to push him to join Minti and run it through here!  Wish me luck!  Oh, and he is a mature age parent.  I'm just much younger than he is!

Hello mature age parents - i am not fifty - i am 45 - but i have seven children  - five boys two girls

they are aged 26, 21,19,16,12,10 and 8

I had my last one when i was 38 - age is a state of mind  and i think mature age parents are exactly that - mature and capable.

I now have a new partner - and we may have one ourselves soon at the age of 45

Take comfort in the fact that you are mature age parents - much more experience with

lifes little surprises.  no offence is meant to the younger parent - i have also been one of those - bringing up children is a challenge - but it is also a magical adventure that passes too soon.

Good on you being a mature age parent   -  you go girl

Sorry for answering a question with a question:

Are you talking about first-time parents over 50? Grandparents raising their grandchildren?

If you let me know, I'll respond again.

I'm what I call a "repeater" late-in-life mom. My fourth child was born when I was 41--12 years after my third child.

A lot of women are becoming late-in-life moms these days. I have a web site at www.mommycomelately.com that is dedicated to late in life moms.

Hope this helps.

Beth
