how can I get her to eat??

And one more thing, My baby (almost 4 months) ate 4 ounces at 2:30, so at 7am I made her 6 ounce bottle, which she normally wolfs down. She only had two ounces. What is the deal? She doesn't seem to be in any pain, she isn't teething.

have you tried increasing her feeds through the day.  My daughter fed heaps through the day (couldn't tell you how much as it was from the breast and not measured lol) but I know she would feed every hour at times.  When she fed more frequently she went through growth spurts.  By giving her as much as she wanted through the day she never asked for it at night.  The only times she has ever woken up through the night in the 3 and half years she's been on this earth has been because of a sudden loud noise, due to illness, or if she was in pain.  She's rarely sick or in pain.  Maybe if you increase her day feeds she won't be asking for any at night.

I found with all of my kids that when they were gettin ready for a growth spurt their eating and sleeping habits would change about a cpl of weeks before and then after the growth spurt all would go back to normal ... At this age they have a lot of growth spurts unfortunately there is nothing u can do bout those ... except get sleep when they sleep forget some of the housework and stuff if u are so tired u need rest for yr child

Sorry didn't read this before I answered the first one. As for the eating. I think that a baby will let you know if they don't want anymore. They go through stages where they eat heaps and then they eat nothing. If you are worried ask your childhood nurse or doctor.

At around 3 months generally speaking their teeth begin to move about and this has simular effects on them as actual teething does.  They go off their food, they dribble a bit more, they get more clingy & irritable & their sleep patterns will change VERY frequently.

The teeth are getting "On there marks" so to speak and if you remember getting your wisdom teeth you might recall how uncomfortable that was on occassion even when they were not actually fighting to pop through.

This will last maybe a fortnight and then things will settle down a bit until the next big change happens.  The first year is like this, very up and down.  I hate to be the one to break it to you, but you might only just be a week into a routine when something else happens in her growth and it'll be all over the place again.  I found it neccessary to do the control crying very strictly then otherwise I would have lost it completely, instead of just becoming temporarily mental like I did....nice to be able to laugh about it now.  Just keep telling yourself that it's normal, hundreds of thousands of Mums are going through the same thing & in 8 months you too will look back and wearily smile. xo

Thanks we have been doing controlled crying since our little one cries if she is tired, even if we hold her. It makes me feel better to know other people have been through this. Thanks.
