Stage 2 Gerber Foods..

My daughter will be 10 months on Boxing Day and I was wondering something. She loves to eat her vegetables and chicken or whatever mix there is. Now she eats the Heniz 9 month foods (the ones that have more chunks in them) and she also likes the Gerber stage 2 which is more like puree. Is that ok for her to eat? Because she loves it to death, sometimes I think even better than the heniz 9 month food.

you need to now that baby foods are not the best thing for your child. the main things in baby foods is water, flavour and flour for thickening. if you doubt my words ask your clinic sister or your doctor.

there is no flour in the ingerdients.. only water and what not.. and if its bad they wouldn't be selling it it and when i went to the clinic for our flu shot she asked what type of food i'm giving her and she said that's fine.. ALL babies eat jar food.. I did, my sister and my niece and we're all fine!!

Pureed food or chunky food is great! So long as your child is getting ther RDI of vitamins and minerals she will be fine!
However, if your daughter has no teeth, just be careful with the chunkier variety when feed it to her, or put it through a blender again to make in a bit finer!

My son didn't like the chunks in any of the jarred foods. I couldn't get him to eat any chunky food for a long time until he was about ten months and that was food that I had cooked. He kept growing and putting on weight and never lost his energy levels so I think your baby should be fine with what she is eating.

I dont see that as a problem as long as she is eating and getting all the vitamins she needs.   I think they just make it chunk as they get older becasue they can start chewing.

that's true too... sometimes it gets hard for her with having no teeth lol and when its mostly all chunks she don't like it that much but stores it in her cheeks.. (I call her my little chipmunk) LOL
But at least she's getting the hang of eating chunks!!
