If your little one seems content then she is getting enough food. Is she sleeping through the night? If not, give her a little more food and she will. This sounds right to me. My sister in law has a 9 month old and when her baby was 6 months old her food intake was just like you described.

Hi there,  My little boy is almost 6 months old now so my early childhood centre organised a group discussion on this topic this week and this is what they recommend, however if you and your baby are happy with what you are doing keep with it.

When baby wakes in the morning give her a bottle and then follow with cereal. After a few days increase the cereal amount then slow introduce pureed fruit into the cereal for taste.  Do this for the evening meal as well.  After a couple of weeks introduce one pureed vegetable at a time for the evening meal instead of cereal.

After about a month change the cereal to one that has oats / grains and then combine two or three different pureed vegetables to her dinner.  Then a few weeks later introduce pureed meat to the evening meal.  Then slowly introduce a meal at lunch time.

Don't introduce Egg, Nuts, Cows Milk before the age of one.  When and if you introduce nuts to her smear a littlte peanut butter on her to do a skin test first to rule out allergies.

You little girl also needs 3 -4 bottles a day in between her solids.

From about 8 - 9 months introduce the food to her in soft chunks.

Hope this helps.  Have a nice Christmas.

Hello mum, If your six months old baby does not cry soon after feeding then it means he/she is satisfied. You can also make it one and a half tablespoons to see how much your baby eats. Bye for now

my mother gave me the best advice with feeding, so long as the baby is happy and content then you should be.

My baby just turned 7 months & thats almost exactly how I feed her.  Only difference is that I wait about 1 hour after a feeding before a bottle, thats only my preference though because she spits up if her tummy is too full!  I have started mixing some veggies in with her rice & she loves it.  If your doctor says it's fine for her to eat other baby food it might be fun to try something new.  I love the faces my baby makes at the taste of a new veggie mixed in her rice!  You are doing great, keep it up!!

hi there merry xmas to you and yours, it sounds tome like you are doing fine. trust me bubby will let you know if you are not doing it right, if she is still growing at a good rate and isnt grizzly then you are ok. she will just plain refuse to eat it or drink the bottles if she doesnt want it so trust your instincts. all my kids thrived this way
