Thankyou all for your compassion and help... I will try most of your suggestions... The biggest thing I know I need is a propper nights sleep no interuptions... nothing... As with fibromyalgia the pain actually worsens unless you can get into that realy deap stage of sleep... I used to take sleeping tablets to manage it... but I worry about bubs waking up in the night and I am worried if I took those meds I wont be able to wake up to tend to her... And hubby wont wake when he is in deep sleep mode either... Its not his fault he is just an extremely heavy sleeper and always has been... making it impossible for him to wake up at times...

Rather than taking sleeping pills, you can try calming herbs like chamomile or lavendar. You can get teas, but in your situation you might need something more powerful. They put herbs together to make pills specifically for aiding in sleep and there is absolutely no side affects... and the best part is it won't keep you from waking for your baby. You can get them at any health food store and some pharmacies even sell them.

oh peachy, i'm so sorry!  here's a little list for you!

  • hot bath with epsom salts
  • bucky wraps--these are cloth enclosures with grains inside that can be heated or cooled as needed in microwave or freezer.  we have one in very nice cozy cloth that has a touch of lavender aromatherapy inside.  they are soothing and comforting.
  • lower your stimulation--low lights, no talking, warm robe.   sometimes when you are in pain you can't handle anything extra at all.
  • ask for help--sometimes knowing you are not alone is a big morale booster.  rally your friends or neighbors (or ask your husband to) so you can get meals brought in from friends, neighbors, co-workers.  send out a signup sheet for babysitting, farm out your kids--anything to reduce your sense of having to keep the house running on your own.  don't be shy--if you let people know how bad it is, you can start to assemble a community of caring people around you to help
  • reduce activities--nothing extra.
  • stress reduction techniques--soothing music, meditation, silence, deep abdominal breathing.
i feel so bad for you!  i'm sure this is just a drop in the bucket compared to what you are needing right now, so i'm going to pray you have a breakthrough soon and find some good caregivers and quality medical solutions.  bless you!

massage massage massage!! I have had quite a few and felt like a new woman. I sleep better, have better posture, and can pick up my little one without wanting to die.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear your in so much pain.  I don't have fibromyalgia but I am a spinal patient and I am in constant pain with my back and neck.  Two things help me heaps.  One is a nice warm bath - this takes all the weight off your body and helps me with the pain because I find that when the pain is really bad, I can't stand the weight of my body when I am laying down or sitting.  The second thing is regular massage - this helps to keep my pain under control but I have to have regular massage or it feels great at the time but doesn't help in the long run.  Another idea is a TENS unit.  This is a battery operated unit with electrodes connected to a little machine type thing that you clip to the waistband of your clothes.  This machine send impulses to stop your nerves from taking the pain messages to your brain.  I know it sounds simple but it is a magical piece of equipment and has helped me heaps.  If your interested you would need to talk to your doctor about it.  I don't know really what fibromyalgia is so maybe the TENS unit would or would not work.  Only your doctor would be able to tell you that.  I hope some of this helps as I know what it is like to be in constant pain.

I'm not sure that a TENS unit would work (not sure that it wouldn't either, so definitely ask your doctor), but as far as I know they only work with localized pain and with fibromyalgia the pain is just all over your body.

There are definitely a lot of herbs and oils that would help you a lot. If your interested you should talk to a local naturopath or herbologist. Another suggestion is to have some reiki treatments done in conjunction with massage. This has helped a lot of people that I know with fibromyalgia.
