I think you are doing great already ,,
heres a few more ideas that might give you a few more tips if you like
ive got 25 stairs that i have to walk down to go outside and every time we go to the shops i count them outloud i did this everytime i stated just to count to 5 ,, when he was 18 months i started to do my routeen going down the stairs he just opened his mouth and counted to 5 by himself ,, then after that shock i went up to ten and so on ,, u might not think but they realy listen to what you say and when its time they will just suprise you ,, he now counts to 20 without any trouble ,, i also sing twinkle twinkle little star and now he know the whole song ,,
they will pick up lots of things you do and say ..
i blow up baloons and he chances then round the house ,, even before he could walk he loves them ,, blowing bubbles also ,, soft ball also ones they can pick up and scrunch in their hands you dont need to spend a whole lot of money to entertain them or even teach them , the older they get they will notice more things and everythings so new to them ,
we go for a walk to the park and look at the planes fly above our head , we sit on the grass and touch it ,, the simple things everyday surrunding things are good , they are little spounges and will take alot in ,,everythings new everythings intresting for them
I felt a little weird at first cause its like i was just talking to myself , but i just kept up repeating things over and over , when your bubbas on the floor put a toy out in frount of your baby ,, that helps them to try to get to it and also reach out to it
you are doing great ,, point to the pictures in the book ,, the eyes nose hair etc,, say the names of the colours the skys the limit ,
