I don't think I can do it any more

This is probably gonna go on for a bit but I think all the info will be helpful.

Basically my 2.5y/o rules the house. Everything and I mean everything else gets neglected to the point I haven't mopped my house (full of tiles and floorboards) for 3 weeks because I just can't take my eyes off him even for a 2 min loo break with out him getting on to the computer or in to the fridge or in to anything for that matter. He is well behaved as long as some one is keeping him entertained. And then it has to be an adult around at all times when he is with other children because he is rough and forceful beyond the capability of a standard 2.5y/o. (he can take down his 8y/o cous) I can't control this behaviour any more and the longer it goes on the more frustrated I get. He understands what he is doing is wrong and gets punished for it and he knows he will be punished but is still mishaving. He literally attempts to climb the blinds, throw things at people etc, the list goes on.

My partner leaves for work befor we get up in the morning and on a standard day isn't home til around 6pm. dinner time then our son has a quiet play (which has become not so quiet with daddy) bath, milk and in bed by 7 and I need to lay with him til he is asleep and we (sorry I bec ause partner refuses to do it) had that down to being 10-15 mins but for some reason he is fighting that again. My partner doesn't do much in the way of parenting at all and I feel it is all left up to me. I am the nanny, housekeeper cook etc all of the time. even weekends. I'm not even sure if I still love him anymore. Its getting to the point where I am seriously considering leaving but have a no access to money,no car, no family and only 2 friends willing and able to help me out.

So my q's are this. What can I do to help my son and myself in regards to the behaviour issues/my frustration in return to his bad behaviour?

And what can or where can I go for some help in regards to leaving my partner.

Endometriosis

Hi I was told by my doctor that my endometriosis would clear up on its own and be cured and not recurr if I had a baby.  I have recently had my first child and was wondering if this is true or do I still have to watch out for my remaining ovary??  I am asking cause I am worried my fertility might continue to be affected if I am wanting to have a second child in the future...

Kids and Junk Food

Has anyone else noticed that kids that eat lots of junk food / take away get sick less often?

My niece eats a fair bit of take away and is hardly ever sick.  We have friends whose children eat a fair bit of take way and again hardly ever sick..

My kids however don't and over winter they average a cold per month.

My mother-in-law is forever hinting that I am in someway neglecting my children, and that is why they get sick.

I know my children are happy, healthy and normal..  But have often wondered why children that eat more take away / junk food don't get sick..

Toddler solo play

My 3 year old boy has never shown much interest in playing by himself, he always wants me, or dad, or a friend to play with him. I try to set him up with solo activities, I might get 5 minutes with playdough, but then he wants me to join in, so it never lasts long.  (One exception, of course he would sit for ages in front of TV on his own if I'd let him....) My 16 month old girl seems to entertain herself for ages with toys! Any ideas?

Painful Sex - Lactational Atrophic Vaginitis

I've written a piece of advice about a condition called Lactational Atrophic Vaginitis.  I would like to know how can I make this post easy to find.  The condition itself results in extreme pain when attempting to partake in sex.

It was really hard for me to find useful information relating to my symptoms.  There were a few questions with women experiencing the same issue, but very little information on what it was.  Now that I have identified it I would like to make the post as accessible as possible so others can find it..

If someone types in painful and sex in the seach engine it comes up with a lot of results..  I would like to somehow narrow this down to make it easy to find.

What do I do?

I'm currently breastfeeding my little boy;  We are planning to go to some hot springs nearby. I was wondering if it would be safe for me to go  since it does get pretty cold (10 degrees!) Will it affect my milk supply or pose a health problem? Can anbody suggest?

Spirulina?

My 17month daughter seems to have a cold every couple of weeks. My mother-in-law swears she has a Vitamin D deficiany but I doubt that's the case. I've heard briefly about Spirulina tablets and Mega-H but I don't know enough. Has anyone tried this before and what do you think? Thanks!

My four-year-old will not stop talking back!!!!!!!

My four-year-old, Solomon, has gotten a bad case of the "But I's" and I don't know how to cure him of it. I ask him to sit down to eat - "But I'm not hungry." "I didn't ask you if you were hungry I told you to sit down." "But I'm not - " "Sit down, Solomon." "But I -" "SIT DOWN!" "But I don't want to eat!" "Solomon, be quiet! Sit down at the table nicely!"

This happens all day with every possible scenario. I swear he has spent more time in time out and getting scolded more in the past week then doing anything else. He just doesn't know when to be quiet!

I realize that this is somewhat typical of kids his age, but how do I get him to stop? I don't want to spend all-day disciplining him. He's really a good kid, it's just his mouth that gets him in trouble.

Help

I currently have two beautiful children, but hubby is thinking about a third. I'm scared. One part of me would like a third, but I am scared cause our finances are tight atm, we have debts we're paying off and we'd need to get a bigger car, etc. Has anyone else been scared about having 3 or more kids, but had them anyway? What happened? How did you cope?

Adenoids

My son ended up in hospital with breathing problems when he was one. He was thought to have bronchiolitis, but was found not too. He was treated for asthma with medications, he was also on oxygen for several days. He has had a few asthma episodes. When he sleeps he tosses and turns , snuffles, seems sometimes to breath irregularly and snores. I took him to an ear nose throat specialist, he looked at him and said he would take his adenoids out, his tonsils are also a little big. He said if he still has the problem a year later he will take out his tonsils as well. I was unsure weather to go ahead, he is only 2 1/2. The same doctor took out my partners adnoids last year, so my partners not too keen for my son to have it done, he still has sinus problems and still snores. Id like advice, should we get it done it seems drastic for his age. Especially  if anyone has had similar problems.

Pregnancy VS Ovulation Symptoms

My husband and I have been trying to conceive on and off for the last 2 years. Since having my daughter I've been really sensitive to progesterone and I get pregnancy symptoms every month even when I know I can't be pregnant.

My symptoms include nausea, fatigue, tender and swollen breasts, frequent urination... the works. It makes it very difficult to differentiate between those symptoms and a real pregnancy, so I tend to try and ignore them as much as possible. They disappear once I get my period and don't start again until I've ovulated.

What's troubling me is we were actualy trying this month, so it's possible I could be pregnant, but my symptoms are different than they normally are. I'm much more nauseous than normal. I'm waking about 3 or 4 times during the night to pee and I'm so exhausted I need a nap just to get through the day.

Plus a lot of the symptoms I normally have are absent. For instance, my breasts are usually so tender by now that just to lightly touch them brings tears to my eyes. Yet they are not really sore at all at the moment. They feel hot to the touch and they're a bit senstive, but they're not sore at all, which is really odd. I'm also usually very moody and irritable during the weeks after ovulation leading up to my period, but my moods have been fairly good. I have bouts of irritability, but they only last a few minutes and then they're gone. I'm also feeling more depressed and weepy than normal.

I do BBT charting, and if my temps were high and rising I'd really think I was pregnant, but I had a temperature drop at about 5 days past ovulation and they've stayed low since. If you don't know anything about charting, once you ovulate the surge in your progesterone causes your temperature to rise slightly. You can tell if you've conceived if your temperature continues to consistently rise and stays high when your period is due. If it drops within the few days leading up to when you're due, then you're more than likely not pregnant.

Well... considering temps are lower right now than they normally are at this point, I really don't know what to think. There should be a link to my chart on my profile page if you know anything about charting and can give me advice.

Otherwise, I'm hoping someone out there may have experienced something similar to this or can give me some kind of advice. I'm not due for my period until Thanksgiving Day, so it's still too early for me to test to find out for sure. It's just driving me nuts not knowing what's going on with my body at the moment.

Rats or Mice

My 3 year is desperate for a pet.  He loves animals and hsa since he was old enough to crawl just followed around anything eith fur, or a tail, or feathers!!!  We have decided to get him a pet, but are unsure of which one.  My husband is not keen on a bird and I find fish too much work with the cleaning.  Can anyone tell me their experiences with Rats versus Mice.  I think a rat because it is larger and has less of a chance of ending up swuashed, but when I say we are getting rat, people just freak!!!  Any advice??
