FEELING REJECTED AS CANT FIND A JOB?

Hi there i have recently went for a job a fish and chip job and it was senior job and you would have juniors to look after .The day i went for the job i went for 3 hours and i havnt done this sort of job but anyway i left my 17mth old gal at home with father so i was anxious as my daughter has been by my side since shes been born i mean the father is excellent father but i was nervous of that and i have a condition anxiety as well but when i went in i was doing fine doing what there asked me too and i thought iwas doing well .The manager said that she will give me two more days so they can see how i cope and they said they will phone i didnt get no phone call or anything i rang them up and they i havnt got it cause i was too nervous i was really shot in my back.As since my daughter has been  born i have done delivering papers with her and that was fine but i just feel that i am  not good enough to do things i mean it makes me wonder as a mother wether i am good at that either maybe my confidence is lacking maybe someone can help me with my hopes.I love being a mother but i feel that i need to have a job to put money into the house too as i dont believe in daycare and dumping my baby any where else so i depend on my partner to look after baby when i go to work and the hours will be after 3 in the afternoon but its rare to find a job-i mean i have tried finding nightfilling but they want experienced its hard to find one.I suppose ifeel bad on letting my baby apart as thats my anxiety any suggestions with that as she breastfeed and i find that u get really attached to your baby i dont want to stop breastfeeding it hard there are a few questions here i hope someone can help.

I think maybe right now might seem like the right time, but really it isn't for you. I'm not saying give up looking for work, Just wait a bit long maybe. I was supposed to start working again and went for interview after interview. It wasn't for me. When my kids are all at school, I will start looking,  Just not now. Good luck and keep your chin high and if it gets too much, Look after bubs and enjoy her as much as you possibly can, They don't last forever.

FEELING REJECTED AS CANT FIND A JOB?
Hi,

Don't be too harsh on yourself.  My teenage daughter has had similar experiences.  I think some employers have unrealistic expectations.  I've trained people myself in the day care field and I've  found that nerves make a big impact on performance.  I've always  made allowances and given time and guidance, none of my staff ever let me down.

You can have a lot of help with your anxiety from your local doctor or they can refer to someone who can help you overcome it.  You can get a series of books by Bev Aisbett
that offers sound advice in dealing with anxiety and depression.  They are at the public
libraries.

All said and done, taking care of your little girl and breastfeeding and giving her a stable
start in life is an incredibly important job.  Never undervalue this.  Take the time to enjoy
your children as they grow up very quickly.  Always remember to be kind to yourself.

Take care, Shazz

Don't get discourage, it is ur first one and maybe u wouldn't have been happy there. Everything happens for a reason, it is because something good is waiting for u at the right time. Take ur time looking for a job that u know u will really like, it is very important. Why don't u look in a daycare center for a job where u could bring ur little one with u. Good luck and don't give up, u are not the problem it just wasn't the right job for u, u just deserved something better. take care.

hI THERE Trixie, are you taking anything for your anxiety? It's just that a new job is nerve wracking enough without this sort of problem........I used to manage a tourist concern and I was expected by the owners to be pretty heartless and ruthless in expectations of new staff.........They would not (even the most ruthless)have been able to make a fair assesment in 3 hrs, employers usually make an allowence for nerves with new staff especially given your inexperience in this field.I think you are better off not getting a job with these employers as they obviously have no scruples. Why not wait until you've finished breastfeeding till you enter the work force....you are already performing one of the toughest jobs their is!!!!!   Office commercial cleaners usually work at night and it pays OK They are usually fun people to work with as well.....I did this sort of work for awhile it is hard but hey you get fit LOL.Colleen's idea about school cleaning is a good one as well.Don't undersell yourself.......Honestly if you don't want to stop feeding (breast)leave going back to work for awhile.take care hugs Merle

I'm sorry to hear your feeling down about not getting the job but it is their loss not yours - something better must be waiting out there for you.  Your obviously doing a wonderful job as a mother or you wouldn't care so much.

Another suggestion for the type of work your looking for that is perfect for the hours you want is cleaning in a school.  Try your local schools in the area and see if they have anything.  Even if they don't now, ask them if you can be put on a waiting list if they have one.

Good luck and keep your chin up.

FEELING REJECTED AS CANT FIND A JOB?
It is hard any where to find a job when you have kids. It is not you at all. It happens to all of us. I went through the same thing. It took me 4 months of looking for a job every day. I eventually got one. I was straight up. I said I have 4 kids, my husband will look after them when he gets home, Just give me a trial, I'll prove myself to you. Don't put your head down, they didn't deserve you anyway. Just keep trying, you will eventually find something that is suited to you. Good luck job hunting. Just remember keep your head up. I did and I am being rewarded for it now.

FEELING REJECTED AS CANT FIND A JOB?

I found it impossible to even think about work as I also don't want my son in daycare at least until he can talk anyway. I found also that getting work without experience is almost impossible unless you can find a cleaning job ( they do usually pay well ). I found that to stop feeling useless which is how I felt I am now doing a correspondence course so that when the time comes I can get a good job doing something that I really want to do.

Good luck

FEELING REJECTED AS CANT FIND A JOB?

Dont feel like this over not getting a job ,as it is hard to get back in the work froce. you will find with most   jobs you apply for will give you two days with no pay and turn around and say you dont have it (the job),so dont feel rejected.

Something will turn up for you  its just a matter of waiting until it dose .Theres many teeages that go though the same thing  day after day going for jobs not getting pay for doing the job so you can image what they feel as well.

Have try to do cleaning at night in office blocks and at factorys  they are after 3pm most times you strat at 5pm  ,mybe look in that area for work its just a thought .Theres some nights shifts at some factorys as well so check them out  and also railway station which are three so i believe cleaning the trains after they are finshed.

well i hope i have given you a few ideas anyway best of luck finding work
