Painting
Nope. If you're not selling it, making money from it, claiming it as your own, or promoting it publically, it's okay.
So painting a kid's room is okay. If you made, say, a Wiggles stuffed toy, to give to a friend as a gift, that's okay too, so long as you don't put any tag or other such claim of ownership to it and it's given as a genuine gift as opposed to sold or exchanged for something. And the idea is that you don't take photos and use them to promote your talents for doing this sort of work to gain commissions either. Putting a photo on Minti to say "Hey look what I did!" is okay, so long as it's not followed by an invitation of any kind for people to offer money to do the same for them.
I found out that sort of stuff when I was into doing arts & crafts, as I was getting people wanting to commission me to make stuff like that. You can pay a fortune to obtain a licence to make stuff like that to sell, that's where the terminology of selling or producing something "under licence" comes from. So when you see those "under licence" Spiderman paraphenalia in the stores, they aren't made by Marvel, but Marvel was paid a load of money for their permission for another company to produce and sell them.
So paint away.
