does anyone use normal shampoo and conditioner on there toddlers hair?
or reccomend anythink i can use.
the baby shampoo ive tried them all just do her hair any justice.
i heard you can use some adult products on toddlers hair, but no shaw if it is correct or not. she is 19 months.
My 2 little girls and myself have very sensitive skin and I've found that Dove products are very gentle, that's what we us. We have had no problems with the products. Just be sure not to get the shampoo in their eyes coz it'll sting. You can also purchase a bathtime visor for her, this will help to keep it from running down into her eyes.
I think that adult shampoo is really hard on the skin and the shampoo is really hard on there eyes. I use the lorel toddler stuff now and the 2-1 and before that I was using the buddies conditioner for Austin's tangles.
I forgot about another product my mom used when my 11 year old sister was younger, it isn't for babies really just younger children and toddlers, its by loreal, its in the shape of a fish they have all different fun scents and colors. I think its in the aisle with all the other baby shampoos and stuff near the adult hair stuff. They have volumizing shampoo and conditioner and no tangle spray, etc. The color of the bottles are so cute and they have great scents like orange and grape, etc. This stuff is age approiate and works great.

Hey Franni :)
If you are finding the baby shampoo no good why dont you try some herbal one from a health food shop. They are all natural and dont sting. I use this on the boys and the bubble bath because Jaidan has eczema. I find them great and they smell like lavendar :)
hi franni, have you tried Amolin baby shampoo? Just before you rule out all the baby ones :) it smells great and ive found its nicer to their hair than alot of the other ones.
I have not tried any of the adult hair products on my son, He uses Baby Johsons shampoo.. The orange one in a bottle.. No more tears I think is written on it... I think it is just fantastic.
And when I was in Australia I had gone to stay somewhere over night and left my shampoo at my sisters. So I used Francis's and my hair never felt better it was amazing. I did not even have to use conditioner... And it got all the knots out.. My hair is down to the middle of my back.
I would try something without a lot of fragrence, like a clarifing shampoo and maybe you could try a volumizing conditioner, I like suave b/c it is gentle and its cheap. If your worried about an allergic reaction, test a small area wait 24 hours and if there is no outbreak, then its ok.
I am very sensitive when it comes to hair products (if any goes in my eyes they are red for days) so I dont use any adult products on my son. I was told by a doctor and few hairdresers not to use adult products on kids as they have harsh chemicals in them (I asked because a freind used her shampoo on her 2 year old girl and her hair started to fall off after like 3 weeks). Get some samples and try those first. I do that and I decided to stick to one brand as all others iritate my skin.
hi i have a 3 year old ,and we use Johnsons and Johnsons no tears shampoo,(hope i spelt that rite) and it works well on little bubs as well. You can buy it at any supermarket or pharmacy....
At 19 months of age I pretty much used whatever the family was using on my kids as they aren't really little babies any longer. otherwise, you could get a mild shampoo with the correct ph balance from a hairdressing supply shop...
I recommed DOVE its pretty good products but use little as too much may cause irratation .You may try a trial pack and wait and see if its ok on your toddler hair i mean i wash my toddler with my shampoo and conditioner and its ok but try and not get in eyes as it does sting heaps
Normal baby shampoo was'nt working on my little one either. I went on a search and through trial and error found two GREAT ones that I love.
Paul Mitchell: it's called "Baby Don't Cry" Gentle Shampoo It's a little pricey but a little goes a very looong way! And it has a light sent that smells great. I use it whehn her locks need a good scrub. Oh! it also has natural shine enhancers that leave her hair gleaming.
I also love:
Para Mi Bebe Natural fruit shampoo: It's a great conditioning shampoo. The only thing is i'm not sure if it is available everywhere. My grandmother bought it in Miami and at times things that are purchased down here are almost impossible to find any where else. But it is a great shampoo. It rinses out sooo easy. it will seem as if you used ahampoo and conditioner. Let me know if you want more information on it and I will try to find you the website for the product or more information.
