is this normal?

I have also just recently found out that I am pregnant and estimating that I am at about 8 wks (long story as to why only just found out) anyways I have read that morning sickness is a good sign of a healthy pregnancy... cept I dont think I have really had morning sickness.

I do get nasea in the morning, day etc and have noticed it more so since finding out i was pregnant.  i am also tired all the time and do pee more than usual.  Im just anxious as i wont have any scans or anything until my first appt with obsterician(spelling?) for another two weeks (at approx 10 wks) I just want to know if everything is ok, if it is in the right spot, heartbeat present etc.... Am I worried for nothing?  Do some people not really get bad morning sickness?  I have no idea, the whole baby world is completely new and scary for me, as this pregnancy is a big suprise!

I've got two healthy boys and I was not sick even one day of either pregnancy but yes I did get tired in the first three months and the last three months.  It's also very normal to visit the toilet more often so that part you will have to get use to.  Good luck and enjoy this precious time.

Completely normal! During my first pregnancy I had occassional nausea and tiredness but was never actually sick. This only occurred between about 6 and 13 weeks. My second pregnancy I was sick from day one! The only meal I could keep down was lunch, and it was usually salad or veg. I couldn't stand the smell of meat (raw or cooked!). This only settled down when I had a month to go. The doc told me that morning sickness (or morning and night as mine was!) is a good sign that the hormones are "doing their job" and everything was going well. I tell you I'd have the first pregnancy again in a heartbeat! And both my babies were 100% healthy, so I don't believe that being sick has anything to do with the health of your bub. Good luck

CONGRATULATIONS, firslty i had morning sickness really badly for the first three months morning, afternoon, middle of the night lol, i was hospitalized about 3 times during my pregnancy adn was in labour for 30 hours, now my sister had nothing no morning sickness no anything cruzie as, and she had no problems with her pregnancy, she was in labour for 8 hours no complications, so there you go i think that what you may have heard is just a myth i wouldn't worry to much. if you really are worried adn reallly want to know what is going on if bub is fine ring up and make and appointment with your GP, or even ring up your hospital or where you go for your antenatal adn explain your worrying situation iam sure they will be glad to either get you in or explain a few things to you. good luck and congrats a gain, can't wait till iam preganant again lol, Brittxx

Hi there, I think what you are experiencing (or not) is completely normal. While I was pregnant with my last child I suffered from no pregnancy symptoms at all and ended up having over 5 tests just because I couldn't feel anything different. I'm sure everything is fine and you will feel much more reassured after your visit to the doctors. Good luck and Congratulations.

Morning sickness is not a sign of either a healthy or an unhealthy pregnancy! Some women who suffer from very severe morning sickness even lose weight instead of gaining weight, which can be alarming. So I think you should rejoice in the fact that you are not suffering from it.

I didn't have morning sickness when I was pregnant with my son, though I did suffer from nausea. Everytime I started to feel hungry, nausea came... so I ate, and a lot! I also suffered from fatigue for about 2 months. I fell asleep everytime I sat down.

I am now pregnant with twins and people say that with twins a lot of the symptoms in the early pregnancy is exaggerated. I find this to be somewhat true, though not completely for me. I suffered from sensitivity to a lot of smells but I'm already over that now. Plus I am not as tired as I was with my first pregnancy.

Anyway, do not worry too much about the morning sickness part. Eat healthy and take your prenatal vitamins and your baby will be just fine. You said you'll have your first ultrasound at 10 weeks? You will see your baby then, as well as see/hear the heartbeat. It will be such an amazing event. Take care of yourself and look forward to the first time you will see your baby. Keep your eye on the prize and keep positive!

Out of my 4 pregnancy's I did not get morning sickness at all, not even nasea. It is ok. Every one is different. As for being tired I felt the same way. I was told it was from a lack of iron, plus being pregnant puts extreme pressure on your body anyway, so if your feeling tired I think you have a damn good reason. Congratulations anyway. Good luck.

after the 5 month a threw everything up everyday nearly all day right up till i was going to give birth .i even threw up at a site of a cockroach and cheep cooking iol ,,

the second time i was pregnent with twins i didnt have any morning sickness at all

all three of my pregnencys have been all differnt

morning sickness is just a part of it  and very normal ,, its all your hormones in your body doing backflips ..

i was told that drinking ginger etc,, dry ginger ale that you get from your local super market helps with the morning sickness and wasnt told till my last pregnency

i was drinking that with the cravings when i was pregnent with my twins but didnt know it helped me heaps

as scarey as it is just relax it all sounds very normal .. congrads xxxxxxx keep us posted
