twin pram

Just wanted to get your thoughts .. we are wanting to buy a tandem pram, but the notion of getting a regular pram with a toddler attachment has come into the equation now.  My daughter will be 20 months old when second bub arrives, and I think that it's too young an age to expect her to be walking next to me during long shopping trips.  I don't really want the side by side pram either.  Thoughts?? What would you go for? (by the way, costs are the same with re to the two prams I'm looking at).

Kirsty

ps. thanks in advance!

Hi. I have a little thing that looks like a skate board that clips to the underneath of most prams, my daughter was 15 months when i had lil bub but it took her about a month to fully get the hang of it. Mum found mine second hand but they do sell them in target for about $40. Also just lately big bub has taken to sitting in the carry basket underneath, she loves it in there!! she is now 23 months. good luck with all

We have a two and a half year old and a five month old. We bought a side by side pushchair - Little Nipper 360, when our baby was born. We found it was too wide to get into most doorways, pnly just fit into the boot of the car and then our toddler decided she didn't like it. So we bought a buggy board to attach to the back of our old travel system and it works a dream. Toddler is happy as she can hop on and off to walk (they love thier independence so much!) and we can get about extremely easily (without the general public making commments about how my buggy takes up the whole pavement!) Only problem now is that we have to try to sell a practically new double buggy!

ive got twins and some of them are just sooo heavy to operate look up toysrus they have prams there for two http://www.toysrus.com.au/site/BabySavings_pg1_6_lo.pdf

whats good to do is you go in and test them ,, you will need to test drive it arround the shop to get the one you want,,

they also sell them at k-mart  target ,babyco , babiesgallore ,you can look up the lot on line see the weight factor also as so that the pram is not a heavy one to operate for you

some side by sides are hard to fit in the door of places as well ,,

i was looking up one at toys are us for you ,, its called baby 1st HI- rise Tandem stroller  its neither long or wide take a look if you like ,,

hey when i had sienna we went for the pram that you can buy a little seat for to put top so when we had the next one we could do that you can also take it off so if you don't need it thats a bonus. but the only down side is if bub wants to go to sleep where can you put her. you can buy tandam prams with one seat behind the other that go back so there not side by side getting stuck everywhere lol, really i think it is personal preference but i hope i have helped you out a bit Brittxx

the prams with the toddler seat are very popular right now, and there are also those prams with the little platform so they can stand and hold onto the handle with you and with out pushing the pram itself.
good luck with your choices

I also had 2 of my children close  22mths apart and we had 1 of the long twin prams .I found it not too bad for pushing around (I thinks some prams you need a licence for lol)and while baby asleep in the back  seat folded down the other couldn't poke and prod at baby.I guess it all comes down to what u feel comfortable with but.

I also used a pram like this for my children.  My son was 2 years 5 months old when my daughter was born. This pram was great. I could see the baby through the little window, and my son could sit in the front and see where we were going.  We called it the "limo".  like a lot of double prams, it wasn't the easiest of prams to steer, mainly because you had the weight in the front, but I found it better than the side by side ones, and it fit into the car a lot better than the side by side ones to.
