I'm all for it. I have a lot of issues with my skin (having suffered with acne), but it never really bothered me to have to do anything about it... especially after meeting my husband. He made me feel secure the way I am.  But the one thing I would like to someday correct is my belly pouch... and possibly my boobs if I have a problem with it down the line (right now I'm sill fine with them). Of course this would be after my child bearing years. Even my husband who is in general, opposed to plastic surgery said that he would support me if I decided to go through with this in the future.

I think for those women who  want this done after their body has been ravaged by childbearing, I think it's more than well deserved. We sacrificed our body for the nine months of carrying our children, and the years after that if we breastfeed...willingly and unquestioningly. So to put our bodies first in the end, is well within our rights as women.

I'm all for it. I mean you don't exactly look fantastic after having kids and it sucks. I am forever wishing that I could look the same way I used to. Hopefully one day I'll win the lotto and I am going to get an extreme full body makeover. LOL. If its going to make you feel better about yourself then go for it. Good luck

hiya,

i say go for it - just do your homework!

make sure you find a properly qualified surgeon - someone who is completely reputable. ask as much as you can. there may be some medicare rebate if you have problems with infections in the skin overhang on your belly, etc.

personally, as soon as i get the rest of my fat off, and have maintained my weight for a year, i'm going in for a boob lift & tummy tuck. i know it's going to cost a pretty penny, but i figure i've had the most effed up body for the last 15 years, that i deserve to have something worth being vain about LOL

so good luck, i know there are pros & cons, as i suggest, do as much research as you can before you commit!

xx

hey skylee, its kayla here!
You shouldn't worry about what other people think of the things you want to do to your body! You should do what you feel comfortable with, as it will be your body that is getting altered! I must admit that whilst i think its a waste of money (NOMB) its something that can change someones life for the better or worse!
If its what you want, we will support you, but like i said, it doesn't matter what we think! its YOU that needs to be comfortable, not everyone else!

I have actually thought about this. I am overweight but I know that once I lose the weight (I WILL DO IT!!!) I am going to have heaps of trouble with lose skin on my tummy. I have looked into perhaps getting those suture things instead of a tummy tuck as they are less invasive and only require local anesthetic. But it will be a while before I can afford it so I will be researching a lot more before then. The one thing I will be getting done as soon as possible is getting the scar on my boob from where I had a breast abscees removed. Its over an inch long and about half an inch wide and right on my cleavage so I would like to get that sorted.

IMO if you can afford the surgery and get it done by a trained professional and you research all the risks ect then go for it. If it makes you happy why not, just keep it simple not like some of those celebs!

I agree if you can afford it why not? As long as it's not too over the top then I don't see any problem with it. I would personally love a tummy - boob job done lol
