A jolly jumper will be a very good investment for your daughter i think! I used one with my daughter and she absolutely loved it!
Alternatively, you could try lots of musical toys or the play gyms...... There are new play equipments you can get which encourages the child to stand then walk!
Hope I have helped some, good luck!

You should count your blessings. When your child does start to walk and crawl you"ll wish they hadn"t.  For now though you could take your child to swimming classes occassionally as they love it and it helps relax them and you. Massages are great too as it is a great way of bonding the two of you and babies love it. Jolly jumpers are great for babies leg muscles as well as keeping them amused. I hope I have helped.

Hi there I have to say the jolly jumper as well. This was definitely one of our best investments. My daughter is almost 6 months and absolutely loves it. Whenever she starts to get bored and grizzly we pop her in there and she is fine until she's worn herself out enough to go to sleep. If possible I would suggest maybe buying one and see how it goes. Good luck.

hi there, does she try walking when you are holding her hands? if so, you could try making fun out of it like dancing! i wouldn't worry about her age too much, my cousin is 17 months old and still doesn't walk by himself yet, my sister was 8 months old when she started walking, all babies learn at different rates. When my son gets bored i put a kids dvd on for him and he will watch it long enough for me to tidy the house up, he was always fascinated with the TV since he was a newborn!

My daughter loved the jolly jumper, she also loved me laying on our backs together reading stories and singing some songs. If your child is sitting up by herself you can give her all sorts of different toys my daughter loves the ones that make noises the most.

I love my Jolly Jumper. They are great. Also Does your bub have a walker? they are also great. Both items are not expencive and can be found second hand. My 21 month old still loves the jolly jumper.I put it away but brought it out again for the baby, and when she sees it shestarts bouncing,so it has defently been worth the money, And middle bub was a slow walker/crawler but got around in very well in her walker.

Hope this helps. And the longer it takes for them to move the better, as the have more understanding of the words   NO and STOP.

I bought for my son a walker when he was 4 months old - Just sitting up. He loved to be able to see everything and 'talk to the adults. He didn't move in it much and in the begining he could only stand a few minutes but he though it was great he could get into the middle of the action. I used it for him until he was 11 months old. He never understood how to walking in it (even when he learned to walk later) but loved being able to see everything. I bought it as he was getting frustrated with not being able to see anything.

I sit with my son and read to him and he loves looking at the colours and the sound of my voice that can keep him occupied for a fair while.  I get the books from liberies or you can buy cheap good quality books from boot fairs, charity shops.

Noisy toys are good he has a steering wheel when you press the buttons plays songs and beeps etc. vtech toy i think.
