Family finacial help!

My husband and I are struggling at the moment to keep ourselves afloat financially, but I really don't want to go off to work and leave my daughter in childcare (especially since the majority of the extra money I earn will go to childcare fees-and thus we're still stuck!). Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could earn a bit of money at home? What about earning money online - anyone know some LEGITEMATE websites? (I've been dooped a few times and don't trust them very much, but I know there would be some genuine ones out there somewhere!)/

Have you considering doing Day Care yourself? Most states have some sort of scheme and you can make a reasonable amount by looking after 2 or 3 kids. Contact your local Centrelink office they should point you in the right direction.

sometimes family day care can be really hard! There are so many guidelines that need to be met, and on top of that, there is a child officer that comes to your house and tells you what you need to do to change your house to make it child safe (Thats if i am thinking of the same sort of day care that you are! ) I don't think i would like to look after kids of all different ages in my home, i think it would be really hard!

I was selling things on Ebay in my spare time. Just the kids old clothes and old clohes my friends gave to me. All second hand things. I would make up outfits some with shoes and sell them as a whole. They are more likely to sell that way. ANYhow I was making about 100-130 a week for a good few months till I ran out of clothes. BUT that was only clothes. If I wanted to do I house clean I could have kept it going.

I have just started in Tupperware and I love it. The financial benifits are great and it fits in really well around my other job and my family. I am happy to email you any other details if you like. Cheryl

As for the childcare fees, have you been to centrelink yet? Working parents get 50% taken off there fees for childcare. And as for extra casgh. Try selling your daughters clothes that she no longer wears!. Also join the site simple savings. It is great for families who are struggling financially and who need to learn to budget!
I hope i have helped you out a little! Good luck in the future!

Hi
Instead of trying to get a job and be away from your family try a idea we did.
I joined a site called simple savings and it is all parents living on a tight budget to save for things they want.
There are some drastic measures on the site but......i know we are not that desperate yet.
It is amazing how much you can save on your shopping bill alone with some of the hints......stuff  you would normally have in your cupboard and not fully know the uses of.....
We do not need to live in such a disposable society.....there are alternatives out there and not necessarily costly.
If you cannot afford a membership get a few friends in the same boat together and do it together with a small contribution each towards the cost.....
I know that we can cut our grocery bill almost in half with the hints in there and some of the recipees.....
Some hints are jsut common sense and I am still trying to work out why i did not use them to save money.
Luv Deb.....

i was going to suggest the exact same thing - start selling things on ebay and see if that creates an opportunity...
