HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN???? (iam desperate for help so pls just dont pass by cuz its long)

k i dont understand how everything that my baby has gone thrw actually happend. iam soo sad for him... it started off as just regular excema, so i seen a pediatrician, i did EVERYTHING that he told me to do.. nothing helpped it just got worse..

so a doctor told me to use hydrocortosone, so i did, all it did was make it worse and burning his face.. so i went back then the doctor told me to mix it with vaseline, or lanohlin, so i did.. it just burn his face even more.. he had blisters all over his face..

so i took him off of it started just using vaseline to moistureize and create a barrier and polyspourn to get rid of any bacteria.. I then went to a different place (2nd oppinion) and she tells me if the hydrocortosone made it worse then he must have a skin infection, but it didnt look half as bad as it did when i was using hte hydrocortosone, so i FINALLY able to get a referral to a pediatrician, and she told me to keep using vaseline and polyspourn.. well it just wasnt helping his skin didnt change.. it stayed cracked, sore, and weeping..

so once again i took up to the doctors this time for a rash all over his body which looked like an allergy reaction.. he checks him out, hes got an ear infection in both ears, hes got a head cold and could have strep.. so he did a swab and today i have to call them to find the results..

i want to know if SOMEBODY CAN PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IAM DOING WRONG... my baby boy doesnt deserve to have all these problems.. I need some advice.. im gunna go insane.. i get no sleep, and we just had a still birth in our family last thursday.. What else can go wrong???

Has your son been tested for food or other allergies. there is a blood test they can have that can tell basics. Even if he is breastfed it could still be an allergic reaction. It sounds like you instincts have done you well so far. stick to them.

Hi y6our poor little tyke and you stressing about doing the right thing. I too have a son who has excema i was told to get a cream over the counter at the chemist called derma-aid it helped even though my sons excema was generally only on his face.. I told a friend about this cream she then bought some and her daughter now does not get excema so much but when she does she puts the cream on and it has almost gone by the next morning.. I am in the process of starting my own home based business and they have a great cream/lotion called  RENEW2 IT HAS ALLANTOIN AND T36-C5  ALSO MELALEUCA OIL.  I use this daily on my sons face  and i now cannot see his excema if you would like the website let me know as they have hundreds of products for every purpose wether skin care or everyday household products. They are concentrated so only need to use tiny bit  Try dermaaid first then get renew if like also as others have said go see a specialist and ask your dr to do organize a allergy test.. regards Michelle

You poor lady, this is not your fault but the fault of negligent doctors.......I cannot believe this has happened to you and your Bub.I know with Breanna she had a rash that sounded similar,I went through a range of creams,Cortisone cream generally shouldnt be put full strength on Bubby's skin....They usually recommend  a ratio of 50/50 cortisone and a base cream.I ended up being put on to using just plain old sorbilene cream and this worked a treat.I really hope you all get some better luck in your life,I am sure u will

There is this product I got when my daughter got eczema (it was only mild though, not extreme - your poor son, poor you! E-hugs!).

It is a natural cream from the health food shop called Graham's, from memory. This guy had severe eczema when he was a kid and had it all his life. His son was born with the same condition and the father decided he had to do something as he didn't want his son to suffer the way he did.

So he made this stuff. It works really well for most forms of eczema and when I told my friend, who is a doctor, about it he went off to buy some because his daughter suffers badly too and is allergic to things like shellfish, eggs and walnuts. She has developed a problem with hydrocortisone creams etc as these can become addictive to the skin.

This sounds like a reaction not just to washing powder or something simple. It may be food related so demand for all options to be considered.

Good luck.

your doing everything you have been told to do and you have done the right things that you also have been told to do ,, its all about us learning as parents who to go to for our children, my son has fevers and i got nowhere with docs or a pediatrician.. so i went back to my doc and got a referal to an ears and throat specialist and he seems to know more as to what our problem is ,,, i was also going backwards and forwards to my sons problem,,

i would just get a referal to a Dermatologist as thats what they specialise in and you would get alot more help from them ,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Pediatric dermatologists specialize in the diagnoses and treatment of skin disease in children.

Im sorry for the loss in your family .. you are going through a hard time right now , i feel for you

Poor Buby and poor you! You are not doing anything wrong. Wait for the test results then they will be able to tell you how you can fix it.

Sorry I can't offer advice but be strong it will be ok!

Oh my god, you poor girl. I am soo very sorry about what's happening to Dominik. There is something I am using for my daugheters excema and it's called FecidinI* H Cream, I've been using it and it's been working great so far. Mind you her's is not as bad as you are saying about your son's. I went to a dermotologist and that's what she gave me.
I would ask your pediatrician if they can refer Dominik to a dermotologist (my daughter was referred because of her leg, some type of cutis mamorata)

I would wait until you hear the results today, and then make an appointment to come in and ask about the dermotologisit, they would be able to give you something that is safe for Dom's face.

You are NOT doing anything wrong. You are doing great, you are trying to help him, but just thing's aren't working for him. I am sorry to hear about the stillbirth in your family. Things will get better. Just hang in there.
Good luck sweetie, I hope the results are in soon :)
