EMBRARRACING QUESTION
It's probably a UTI (urinary tract infection). A course of anti-biotics should fix it up quickly, but get to a doctor very soon, or that slightly painful discomfort will get progressively worse, and it will eventually feel like you're peeing out volcanic molten lava!
As embarassing as it is, it is a fairly common little infection to get, just not many people like to talk about it. A common cause is simply contact with a piece of toilet paper or sanitary pad that has been contaminated with some nasty little bacteria. Three very important hints regarding UTI's:
- don't leave the toilet roll on the floor - I've noticed heaps of people do that and it's a very bad little habit to get into.
- wipe ya butt from front to back. Your urinary tract is relatively clean from bacteria, however, ya bum is full of it. If you wipe from back to front, you risk spreading that bacteria to your urinary tract, causing uti's.
- drink plently of fluid: preferably water, not alcohol. As uncomfortable as it can get to pee when you have a uti, you need to keep "flushing out the pipes" to help get rid of the infection.
