we were having this problem, what time are you putting him to bed? i tried putting her down earlier one night b/c she was really fussy and tired, 6:30, I thought she is going to get up even earlier now, she slept later. we do it every night now and it has been awesome. she was getting up at 4 or 5, now she sleeps til 6:30 sometimes even 7.

Mine as well! Ive found they swap and change as they go. My 3 yr old used to wake at 6am without fail for ages. Now she sleeps till 7:30 no matter what time she falls to sleep. Im just crossing my fingers that D will do the same as well.

Hi my DS used to sleep 7pm to 7am every single day from 6 months old to 19 months!  Suddenly he went haywire and now wakes anywhere from 5am to 6.30am.  I can usually lie him back down if it's before 6am and he'll go another half an hour - but rarely any longer.  Don't try putting them to bed later it doesn't work and just means less sleep and then grouchy baby in the day time!  Sorry, but early waking is part of babies I think!

Mine does the same thing, luckily for me he goes straight back to bed after a bottle.  Unfortunately I cant get back to sleep after that.  I think we are just stuck with it.  My theory is they have little alarm clocks in their heads, when it goes off, to bad for mummy.

I hate to say it, but you maybe stuck with this waking time. I know this isn't what you wanted to hear, but I have tried everything to get my baby to sleep later. The only thing that will work is if I let her have 2oz to eat when she wakes up at 5 am, she is only 3 months so she is hungry, it holds her over til 7. That is the only thing I can think of. Good luck.

Ive found that giving them a really filling meal for dinner at night works a treat and they sleep just that little bit longer.

my daughter shes 18 months and she wakes up at 6 every morning not a minute past but lately she has been waking up in the middle of the night around 3 due to teething, i find if she has a big dinner she sleeps easier and the baby bash wash makes her tired..
