I like the random photo thing, except for the fact that everytime someone votes on a photo, it shows up on recent activity, and it kinda takes over the whole place. If it didn't show up as activity, I'd like it better. It's hard to see all the new actual posts through the list of photos that's just been voted on.
But maybe I'm the only one who doesn't like that part! LOL
That is a nice suggestion ....Like I commented before (below) , maybe put it on the tool bar or under groups ... "Activitiy" seems to be overwhelmed with "anonymous -photos" ... Loved the Minti before ... and hope it stays as informative after the needed updates ... Thanks for all of your efforts ....
Love it, I love looking at other people photo's, and this is just brilliant, its also a great way to come across different member I would normally not see.
Not sure how this feature works ... Is every photo I ever posted through out my comments, etc. able to be shown this way ... randomly ... at any time ... without my knowing ... ? For instance, I posted a picture of dryer lint when I made a comment on the Household Tips group one time ... I do not think people want to view and vote on a photo of dryer lint (even though the lint ball was the size of a small cat) ! I would also like to pick and choose the photos I put up for voting ... some pics I post in my comments are meant for reference regarding the comment ... (like a photo of where I found the lint ball and a photo of how to open up the dryer so others could save thier clothes dryers from damage) Also, I used to come to Minti for advice, not to view and vote on photos. I used to spend most of my time in the "Activity" area in order to get the freshest comments and newest advice .... I really loved the "Activity" area because such new ideas popped up all the time, things I would not have thought of on my own that day ... Things I would not know I need be concerned about .. and things I did not realize I needed to research further, things I would not have thought on my own to search for on Minti ... etc... Now, when I visit the "Activity" area it seems about 95 percent of the listings are "random photos" posted by "anonymous" ... I just came back tonight for the first time since the Minti update ... and I am not at all liking the "random photo" feature so far ... I would like to say again that I come to Minti to read advice ... not to view and vote on photos ... I like the idea of "random photo" in general ... but I do not like it if it fills up the "activity" page automatically ... I would much prefer "random photo" to be on the tool bar or in groups where I could visit it by my choice occasionally for entertainment .... I am finding "random photo" to be distracting and over running Minti advice ... which is what I am here for ... Thanks for hearing me out ... I will keep my eye on Minti and see how things progress with all of the new changes .... Nice to hear that changes had to be made because Minti's family is growing so big so fast ... But let's remember why we love the Minti : Parental Advice
It's good, but I rather keep the photo from the lounge off the random photo. Isn't that lounge for? only for specific members? Seem like Minti loads all the photos we upload to the system..not only the one from blog.
Just additional, I remember one of the member said that she/he didn't like to show her family photo to public, so they were showing in the lounge. But now I could see them all in those randomly photos. Maybe you should take it as concern as well.

or to any other private area where they posted the photo?

I've tried to see them by not log in to Minti and I could see them. I knew some of those photo were posted in this member lounge. Is that make sense? If those photo private I shouldn't be able to see them if I'm not log in as wildrose, right?

you can see them in the minti system because you have permission to see them... so they probably just appear to be public... when in fact they are still just private... make sense?
I think it looks great ,, but i might have to say that it could also leave the door open for people that dont get along on this site to give the other people nasty ranks ,,, i really hope that people wouldnt be as nasty to do this though
we purposely decided to not have a huge range of votes so that their was no "low" vote.
You can give 1 thumb up or 2 thumbs up. They are hopefully both viewed as positive votes.
oh belive me it wont. someone will say how come I have low score. I get it now. And may I say I am in love with some very cute little babies my god there are so many cute kids out there.
