it depends on the size of your baby, but the most common would have to be 0000. and most of the time the hospital provides clothes my suggestion would be to pack a few things and then when bub comes into the world find out his/her size and get someone to bring them in for you but siennas only needed a set of clothes to go home in they provided everything, nappies, wraps, clothes, one thing i would suggest is to get soem mittens they usually scratch there faces, good luck brittxx

clothes for bub

2 wraps - 1 thick 1 thin

2-3 full cotton body suits- not toweling too hot size 0000

3 singlets if it's too hot for the bodysuits size 0000 but get the long ones so it covers their back well

dont forget the baby bath stuff- soft towel, flannel and bath liquid (johnsons lavender bed time bath is the best eva)

It depends on the size of your baby 0000 or 000 and what hospital you are going to some hospital previde you with clothes, nappies and bottles/formula (if you bottle feed). But some hospital let you use your own stuff as they have a charge to use theres.

Good luck and congratulations on your new arrivals when s/he arrives

Nappies?
Are you using cloth (hospital supplied) or disposable (BYO)?
If you are using disposable try to buy a big box of what ever brand you are going to use and only bring in one sleeve of nappies at a time. If you run out I'm sure one of your visitors  can bring in some more.

Also with maternity pads trying buying the thicker ones, as you can insert frozen water (like ice blocks but you'll have to ask the nurse) into them to soothe your sore areas. This worked a treat with me.

lots of singlets and jumpsuits in 0000 AND 000
They told me Chase was normal sized yet he didnt fit in 0000 because he was 9 1/2 pounds lol and 55.5cm long
So pack both sizes just incase.

Generally, unless the doctor has said it is a large baby 0000 will do nicely.  If you don't have any 000 are fine - just roll the sleeves up.  Make sure you throw in a blanket or a wrap as the baby could be cold leaving the hospital (maternity wards are always warm).

Personally wouldn't even bother with 0000 clothes, grub was 7lb7oz and went straight into 000 and was in 0 by 12 weeks. But definitley pack nappies, powder, wipes etc. Hospital generally supplies towels and blankets etc. For yourself, lotsa maternity pads and breast pads, pj's and casual loose fitting clothes. If going public hospital, pack lotsa munchie foods and get people to bring you fresh fruit when they visit!

Also before you go to hospital, give them a call and ask them what facilities/linen etc is supplied....
