okay so i've blooged on the topic of spiderman and no one has yet responded. my 3.5 year old is a spiderman fanatic. are there any others out there? and i am talking about collecting all the action figures from the 1960s comic, wearing spiderman clothes, eating from spiderman bowls and with spiderman utensils and laying on a spiderman lounge. and the thing is, Mum is getting into it too!!!???
Shrek, spiderman, superman, and at the moment a mild one Harry Potter lol, and I hate Harry Potter I am reading him the books at the moment well I have been for quite some time now soooo boring for me but he loves it. But even though I can't stand him I find myself looking for Harry Potter things, I just got back from grocery shopping and I got him a Harry Potter library bag!!! he has a bag but I knew he would be thrilled with this one lol so yes they become obsessed and we go along with it. I remember when he thought the wiggles was the ants pants and I was inlove with them, they made him happy so they made me happy. But he still runs around the house with his spider man outfit on trying to shoot webs and as for Superman well he has been trying to fly for months!!! Ahhh but you know it gives us an excuse to get into and have fun with things that most adults would find rather immature lol
yeah harry potter. My god I love him. I have all the books and read them at least 3 times each. when I had my operation I red all of them in 2 weeks. my son loves lord of the rings for some reason we only let him watch 1 part and not the whole movie but he wasnt scared for some reason but he has the toys and loves them (they were $2 each from k-mart )
hmmmmmmmmm. let me see.. first itn was HULK, then it was Spiderman, now its Jack Sparrow..lol..honestly, i think kids go through fads with their "heroes"...which is precisely the reason i refuse to buy character themed doona covers and the like...i really dont feel like forking out more cash when my boy changes his mind.. and i know he will...enjoy the spiderman era..lol.. itcould well be something different next week..
ps: yes i buy the character clothing and costumes.. he wears them to death and by the timehes grown out of them he sover the character..lol
Kids hobbies are catching... :)
I see anything with Tow Mater, or Lightening McQueen from the movie Cars and I just want it. :).. Spider man is another one of my sons favorites but I think more because it is one of his dads.. He is not allowed near the comics, but god help the husband the day he lets Francis have a look at them.. AHHHHH There are soooo many... :)
My husband has the statues and my son has the PJ's, bowl and plate.. LOL
My son loves spiderman since he was two years old. Spiderman undies, pijamas, clothes, toys, the movies. He just can't stop watching the movies. I am definitely going to take him to see part 3 in May. He asks me everyday when part 3 is coming.
After seeing the movie my boy lay on the lounge half asleep and was flicking his wrist trying to see if he could get web to shoot out! He would not accept the idea that he couldn't be spiderman when he grew up, so I settled for explaining that he'd have to get bitten by a very special spider - a special red and blue one - but that if he got bitten by any other spider he'd get very sick instead. I also told him that it won't work until he's 16 years old - hopefully by then he'll accept the idea that he can't be spiderman when he grows up!
But he's slowly getting over it. This week he wants to be a pre-school teacher when he grows up.
He has a spiderman toy, shoes, shirt, underpants, and schoolbag. I'll be taking him to see part 3 when it hits the cinemas here.
you are not the only one. In our case its not so much spiderman but many others bob, pooh, toy story, pingu and many others I am so into it. I cant wait for my son to get older so I can "force" my love of harry potter on him i love him (not so much the movie but the books).as now if I want to buy something with him my husband goes crazy aperently I am too old for that.
