You poor thing! Please go and see a different doctor and get a referal to specialist! It could be anything, but you know if something is not right! I had a terrible experience and after being told : a/ It was probably scar tissue ..learn to live with it. b/  It was referred back pain, see a physio. c/ It was probably adhesions ....take pain medication ....and the list went on. It took 5 doctors and an episode of pain so severe I was given morphine that I was finally diagnosed with a bowel infection from the ceasarian I had had 5 months prior! 3 weeks later after proper treatment, I felt like a new person and could actually enjoy being a Mum! I had lost so much weight I was struggling to breast feed and I was in huge amounts of pain on and off.  I had no appetite and felt pretty ordinary most of the time. The first doctor I saw that diagnosed scar tisue was quite thorough, even sending me for an ultrasound and checking for UTI's, however nothing showed up. So please go and get a second, third or even fourth opinion!

If this does not resolve itself with you trying all these things, ask your doctor for a referal to a gynaecologist.  I don't know if you come from an area where they are easy to go to, but if your doctor is just fobbing you off the reason could be that it is out of their area of expertise.  Ordinary doctors are general practictioners, which means that they are used to the everyday problems experienced by people.  If it is something out of the ordinary they may not have come across it before and so they are giving generalised advice.  If this is an ongoing problem then generalised advice is not going to help.  Don't leave it thinking that it will fix itself.  That will just mean that you are putting up with the problem for longer.  Ask for a referral to someone who specialises in women's gynaecological problems. A doctor telling you that you are 'imagining' your symptoms is just a dishonest way for them to say 'I don't know what your problem is' .

All I can say is GET CHECKED OUT. Go see a doctor who will actually listen and figure out the problem. I have a friend who had some pain like you are describing and it was scar tissue that never healed properly from her stitches. She had to be opened back up and get it removed and she is as good as new now. Do not ignore this.

after the bitrth of my son I complained to my mother I said "mum my back still hurts (this was about 5-6 days after the birth) when eill it stop?". she goes "its 22 years since I gave birth to you and it still hurts.

I am not sure what the problem in your case it could be that something is not in its place, something was torn or dameged or something left behind (in that case you will most likely have infections like I did with a piece of gauze left behind dont ask long story liky I am still alive).

I would say dont take no for an answer and go and get you self checked out (ultrasound whatever)

Ooooh, Hunni - Go find another doctor. No-one knows your body better than YOURSELF, & if you don't feel right, find someone who will listen to you.

It sounds like it could be a prolapse of some kind. Maybe your uterus pushing your cervix down. It does happen quite often, but ladies are scared to talk about it. Try doing major pelvic floor exercises, to see if that helps.

I know I'm not quite the same after having 2 kids in 2 years, but P.F.E. REALLY help with your muscle control.

I wonder if your weight loss is something to do with stress?? Remember to eat healthy everyday, & you should be OK. Are you breast feeding? That helps Mums to lose weight well after bubs is born. (Didn't bloody work for ME tho!!!) Keep us up to date with how you're doing....

Hi,

I also get the heavy achey feeling down there. With me also it seems to be to do with my pelvic floor muscles. Once I do some excersises it goes away. I also find I bloat when I let my abdominal muscles take a vacation. Maybe you could try working on the muscles.

Though you shouldn't be fobbed off by a doctor either.

Hiya, please remember that your body has been through soooo much this past 9mths, your body and all its parts will take some time to heal. You well may be sore for some time yet, and things will slowly start to heal and come back to normal. The bloating could be that you have picked up a virus or it could be that your tummy is still healing, dropping weight is never a good thing so just try and snack on something untill you feel a bit better. If you are still worried, still losing weight and still feeling bloated i would definitly go back to the Dr and tell him/her when it started and how many days it has been since you have had these symptoms. Good luck i hope you feel better soon.

Best Wishes Blond.

I'm not sure about the bloating and weight loss - but if you're worried I would try another doctor if you're current one won't listen.

The girly stuff, I feel something similar when I have been lax with doing my pelvic floor exercises.  It feels really heavy and painful down there.  I always find within a couple of days of doing pelvic floor stuff, it gets much better.

But again, if you're worried, keep asking the questions.  Don't let a doctor tell you its in your imagination when you know its not.  Keep strong.  And if you want to chat, I'm happy to listen.  Minti-mail me if you like.

Take care.

Leith
