Definitly!!  I believe anywhere from 1year on is good for potty training - especially when they are able to associate the different terms and let you know....  the sooner the better i think!!

My daughter started training herself at 16 mths (in the dead of winter)and is now trained fully night and day at 28mths......i used undies at home all the time from day 1..Yep we had accidents but she learned very quick from this..... she felt wet...I took her to the toilet whenever i went...and made a big deal of any sucess...

i also made sure she could pull her clothes off easy...no overalls..... no onesies or tops with snaps between legs...... pants all pulled easily up and down and skirts and dresses....... she then felt more in control..... Her day care lady was also fully behind me and helped by using undies  when she had her

I did use cloth trainers i made that were padded for going out cause i wanted her to know she was wet at all times... However when i visited i had to be fair and revervt to pullups..... she was lazy with them at times though......let your daughter pick her undies...my daughter loves dora  and so when she wore them she didnt want to have to take him off.... thus less likely to have accidents....

Good luck.......

I agree with everything that has been said.  My girls were much easier then my boys.  One thing that I think helped my now three year old(Ash), was that my seven year old neighbor girl came over all the time and ash would go to the bathroom with her and she wanted to be just like her.  She was day toilet trained  by 19 months and night trained by two years old.  I did just what one of the women said below , all I did was show her and I let her figure it out.   My boys on the other hand I had to make them go pody every two hours and then I almost wanted to give up, until their dad told them to pee on the tree outside and wham!! they got it .  One problem though, yesterday my two boys and their three friends, neighbor boys, where on my front porch all going pody.  Mind you, I live in a small town, but still a town and people where driving by.  The worst thing about it all, was that one of the boys is six and his pants where down around his knees.  While I was in the house, dying of embarrassment , I had to laugh when one of the boys told him that he didn't have to put his pants all the way down and began to explain how a real boy does it.

My son was introduced to the potty chair at 14 months old but is only now showing the signs of knowing that he can be toilet trained. I think it makes it easier if they are given the idea from as soon as possible.

I think your daughter is ready for toilet training. If she's telling you she's done a number 2 in her nappy, then start training her to the way you see fit. Good luck with it all.

Oh, just a little pointer, girls are so much easier i think to train than boys. My girl was dry in the day and night in about 2 months for day and 3 months for nights.

my daughter is 16 months and last month I started introducing her to the potty chair.  She was telling me that she had poo also.  She would say potty during her baths and then a little later there would be poo in the bath.  She would wake up in the morning and tell me if she had poo in her diaper.
She sits on it in the morning, sometimes during the day and before she goes to bed at night.  I don't make her sit until she goes, and sometimes she does and sometimes she doesn't.  If she doesn't want to sit on it at all, I put her diaper right back on and we go about our business.
After only a month she is now telling me when she is going poo in her diaper.  She hasn't quite associated the pee, but I feel she is starting to understand what it is all about.  Now her little mind has to associate that the when she has to go, she has to go to her potty chair.  Like I said, I don't push it, I'm just associating her with it and letting her mind figure it all out!
Hope that helps!!
