Re: bankrupt: Be

Be careful with those Debt companies they make money out of debt agreements so they will always put down bankruptcy as an option. You need to go to a fiancial advisor. Try the salvos or life line. Some people who go into these agreements end up struggling with the payments.

you should have a serious look at your budget and try to re-organise your finances. Sometimes you don't need the things you are renting/own - give them back or sell them off! once you get back on your feet you can go buy those things again.

don't be afraid to be frugal. you need to be frugal anyway. eg wear more clothes in winter, dont turn the heat on. dont have running showers, put the water in a bucket and wash yourself (this one might sound odd, but in other parts of the world this is actually very normal practice).

no one should ever voluntarily go bankrupt.
Yes, if you go bankrupt companies can come and take your stuff to recoop the debt that you owe them....they sell it to gain the money.
Even if you have a part mortgage on your house, the bank will come and take your house of you and sell it for the amount you owe them......big companies, even little ones don't care so long as they have there money....because they have a business to run!
My advice to you would be to go through a govt agency like fox symes as they deal with debt consolidation, bankruptcy and numerous amount of options!
Hope this helps!

DON'T go bankrupt. Get advice from people who know how to handle debts. I go through
My Budget
and haven't regretted it. They handle everything for you. You just send your bills into them. Check out their website or you can minti mail me for more info if you like.
I was once in your position but didn't want to go bankrupt and I am so glad that I didn't. Now I am almost debt free and there is no financial stress anymore.
Good luck.

Totally agree with what everyone else has said - be very wary as there are LONG reaching results of going bankrupt.  There are some great councillors who can help  - try: CAP or Credit Line or any of these.

please please please dont go bankrupt. you will never recover from it as  long as you live and then when you finally get back on your feet again you will regret it. please do as i did and seek a financial adviser to help work on your behalf and they can make better payment arrangements to keep u in the good books . dont let back financial choices ruin your future there is always a way out.  you have to be strict with your self and pay even 10 dollars each week to these people , It is far more satisfying to accept help and pay your own debts than to go bankrupt and risk losing future earnings.

you will never be able to get a job that involves responsibility or money handling as they wont hire a bankruptee as they are a risk to them.

be careful do it the hard way which is more satisfactory. i know. i nearly went bankrupt but decided against it and am so glad i did.

don't do it we thought about it a few years ago and the amount we owed was not much i found it as an escape route its not worth it there are plenty of people that can help you to clear your bills and then owe them with a one small weekly/fornightly payment.

bankrupcy has hurt alot of familys its more strain than what it is worth

www.debtmediators.com.au

there are a few there make some inquiries but please think hard before you go bankrupt only do it if you thousands and thousands otherwise not worth it

good luck hope it all works out well and it will life was never to be easy this is all our hurdles along the way

Hi, Please think very carefully before going bankrupt, not fun believe me, you will not get credit for 10years and for the length of the bankruptcy you will not be able to get anything in your name that requires a contract such as a phone line, mobile phone etc.... you can only earn a certain amount I think its about $36,000  any more than that they take to pay off your debt.  Now if you owe the company you have rented the items off on the rent to buy YES they can come and take them, if you own them no they can't.
You are better off communicating with the company, let them know your situation and if you can come to some sort of agreement.  If you need to know any more minti mail me xx
