Teething powders worked for my children and my grandchildren, combined with Bonjela they work wonders.

Teething rings are great, both our girls had a snail shaped teether, they are even better when you put them in the freezer for a little while then let her suck on it. As its so cold it can feel really nice on the sore gum and numb it a little, if a teething ring won't do the trick pop down to your local chemist and ask for " Bonjella" its a teething gel with a local anaesthetic in it that will numb the gums for up to 3 hours. Goodluck

Best Wishes Blond.

A friend of mine got me a bottle of tablets from the chemist called: "Hylands" Teething Relief - they are tiny, disolvable tablets that are made from Homeopathic ingredients to relieve the discomfort of teething. They worked great for my son, who refused to let me apply teething gel. not sure how much they cost......but they are worth it!

My son didn't like chewing  rusks or teething toys either, so i gave him a Wooden Dolly peg (available from craft stores) to chew on - he loves it...chews happily on it for hours.

a nice bottle of chardonnay?  for you of course.

i use a teething gel from the US and I have seen it here....oragel...it has lignicaine.  anything with caine in it is a good thing.  fingers rubbing on sore gums is suppose to help give counter pressure if you can get fingers in.

try icy poles made from milk, breast milk, juice/diluted juice to gnaw on....

ear plugs work nicely too.....

I know exactly how you feel. When Miss 6 cut her first tooth she not only cut one but 4 all at once!!!! I tried all the teething gels on the market and nothing worked. The only thing that would stop the pain for her was Panadol. I didn't give it to her everyday, only the first 24 hours of the tooth coming through. I am not a big fan of giving pain relief unless it really is needed but for Miss 6's sake and my sanity, it was the only thing that worked. Hope this helps in some small way. Thinking of you and really can empathise with what you are going through.
All the best,

fiona xoxo

Hi! Depending on how old she is I'd dose her up with everything she's allowed  eg (UK) paracetamol & ibuprofen.

I remember a few days someone saying that putting a facecloth/flannel in the freezer then giving it to them to chew was good. My DD1 was older and good at swallowing so I froze a skinned babana and gave it to her to chew.

If you put teething in the search box at the top of the page here you will find loads too.

Good luck!
