suffering

I have always suffered with my period but it appears to be worse now than ever before. I was just wondering if anyone else suffers really badly with them. At the moment I only seem to get one week where I don't feel nausea, horrible stabbing pains in my back and thighs, diarrea, tiredness and headaches. The symptoms get worse just as my period ends to the point where I can't eat without wanting to throw up or run to the loo!!! Does anyone else go through this??? Could it be something else?????

I used to suffer really bad and everybody told me it would get better after i had my daughter but it got worse and i pushed my doctor to find out. He got me in with a good OB/GYN and they did a laproscopy and found out i have severe endometriosis. They removed a bunch of scar tissue from my belly-button area and it has improved immensely. The specialist told me a lot women get endo and don't even know it.

Since I have had my kids its not as bad, but going back 5 years ago I was like you, I still suffer from the nausea and headaches 1 week before and all through my period not to mention tiredness.  I have endometriosis and the symptoms are all different, but I have had friends that have periods like yours and did not have anything wrong with them.  If you haven't already you need to talk to your Dr about it, you may just be one of the unlucky ones that gets horrible periods or it may be more, the one thing endo has is a lot of large clots with your period, get it checked out x

I do not suffer that bad from period pains but by the end of the week I am so drained it takes me a week to recover from it .From what u have said i would be off to the dr's to get it checked just to eliminate that it isn't anything more sinister.
