Thanks Angelmum, mummabear and madmel, these are great ideas and I was kind of on that track. Creation's going well, I'll post some photos of the parade, Tuesday. Should be fun!!

We are in the middle of making one right now, we bought a few sheets of cardboard and made a top hat, we have painted it with gold glitter paint, we have little foam letter stickers for happy easter and we bought a cheap easter bunny to stick on the top surrounded by easter eggs, we got all this in the craft section at k-mart..... hope this makes sense lol, if you need more there has been a couple of questions regarding this and I should have looked for you first but if you scroll down a few pages you should find it and someone posted some sites you can have a look at.  Also if you google easter hat a lot of photos came up with different parades so you can get some sort of idea.  xxx

I've been making Easter hats with my toddlers all week. The kids are all under 2, or just turned 2, so they were very basic.  I used paper plates, got the kids to paint the bottoms of them, then got them to stick ribbons and bows and cut-outs of easter eggs to the bottoms.  I cut 2 slits in the sides and using crepe paper streamers, put the streamers through the slits and had it dangling down to tie the hat (which was the upside-down paper plate) to the child under the chin.  Hope this makes sense...
