That is such a shame, having a baby is supposed to be a happy time for everyone, mummy to be daddy to be and grandparents, aunts and uncles. I'm truely sorry you did'nt get happy reactions.

Best Wishes Blond.

My mum and dad were very happy, which quickly followed with...you can tell your grandmother you are having a baby outside of marrige (we were engaged at the time). When we told my hubby's parents they were also very happy as hubby and i were in our mid thirties lol.

My eldest is now 36 years old ( in July) and l am 51. So you can imagine what came out of my dad's mouth  , l did not know he even knew words like that

So l cannot say what he said..however you can use your imagination ..He was gobsmacked ,,it took around 5 minutes for his mouth to actually close so he could talk...

But both my parents and my in laws were very supportive of me and the baby who as l said is now 36

However it was definatly a  KODAK  moment....

Being a single girl and not seeing anyone, i think everyone was a bit stunned. My mum said "That's ok, we'll get through it, a baby is a pleasure but it'll be hard on your own" and I never told my father. His wife rang me a few weeks after I told my mum to ask if it was true and then she told my father.  He flipped out, said that I was living in a small town, working, all was well, I moved to the city, got a tattoo and fell pregnant! As if the tattoo was what caused it, I had to laugh at that.  My brother was the first one i told and he rang my mum and said I had something to tell her then handed me the phone, so i told her. My grandmother tried to get me to get married, even though none of them knew who the father was and they all assumed for some reason I didn't know who the father was either.  My grandmother tried to get me out on dates in the hope that some random guy would take us in and give us all his money

All worked out in the end, even though I hardly talk to most of the family anymore because of differences of opinions.  She is a very loved little girl and I wouldn't change it for the world, and my mum is thrilled to be Grandma and is even ready to be Grandma again! All eyes on my brother's fiance to produce that one, lol.

good question! when i told my mum she was real happy for us, i was real scared to tell my dad because he believes that i should be married before i have kids (mum and dad are divorced) he was a bit angry at first but he got over it.

With my first everyone was happy in my family, as it took me a year to fall pregnant, and i didnt have to lift a finger, was absolutely smothered... My second we waited to we found out what we were having and then let everyone know, and the grandparents were tickled pink, as i was the first out 5 girls to have a girl, my sisiters were''nt impressed at first.. and with chloe my last, i was a bit upset as i wasnt planning no-more, and i think most of the family were in shock... But we wouldnt have it any other way now.
