Ok, maybe I don't really have a right to comment as I am a new member but I am shocked at the pointless bitchy comments being left by others. It is completely unnecessary and hurtful. We mums need to stick together and support one another as isn't that what Minti is all about???? I myself was subjected to this today and felt like logging off and not coming back. I feel if it isn't constructive or something you feel extremely passionate about then there is no need to be petty. Read whatever it is and shrug it off then move on. Here's to happy reading!
.................... that was well said in the least ammount of words Daz. (now can people see how he wrote in brackets no offense? DONT BE OFFENDED BY THE WORD AND DONT BITE........SIMPLE as that)
i can see how a person can give an honest, innocent answer or oppinion and someone can snap at it, i see it all the time! what we say is what we do, dont like it, tough shit
build a bridge and get over it.
i only bitch if somebody is pointing a finger at me ( strarts on me) thats the only time i feel the need to defend myself and my rights as a mother.
Oh I bitched once but I felt that an abused child had to be defended!! Sometimes things call for it, but opinions are opinions it's just that simple. People can take it or leave it.
I totally agree with what everyone's said in here. Just laugh it off, and look at the good points in minti, and you'll soon find who the nice people are, and just avoid the bad one's.
Good luck, and stay with us at minti, and you'll find it's not all that bad.
WELCOME!! Yeah there can be some around here, but don't worry!! I think that like someone else said there's some abruptness some sensitivities (I think however there are some subjects that deffinately need to be battled out) and I think some judgemental attitudes at times. But I Have a joke for everyone
Life is all about ass:
You are either covering it
laughing it off
kicking it
kissing it
busting it
trying to get a peice of it
behaving like one
or you live with one!!!!!! heheheheheh sorry :) enjoy minti
Welcome to the Wonderful World of Minti! Yeah, you will get bits and pieces of this and that from time to time, so don't worry too much. You're right, it's a shame really, but it happens. Just go for a wander around the site when you hit a snag, and you will be blessed with witnessing the REAL Minti and it's real focus.
Of course you have a right to comment. Some people (like myself) are very set in our ways. Unfortunately some have not learnt tact (like myself) and say things in a way that come across very abrupt. You'll learn that everyone here has a different lifestyle, and a different way of doing things, and I think that even if you say things people don't agree with it often means they take it away and think about it even if they've left a comment contradicting what another person has said. I've said at another time that a bit of healthy debate is good for people, it helps us learn about other people in the world. We all come from different places, different backgrounds, have different beliefs and it's good to share them and sometimes it sparks debate but that shows people are thinking about it. Welcome, I'm sure you'll enjoy it here.
Hey there,
I read your comments made today and I really think you are full of wonderful and useful info! Please dont leave and dont let it get you down. There will always be a little bitchyness when you get mothers with strong opinions who are sleep deprived and buggered.
Try not to pay any attention to it and laugh it off if you can.
Oh and welcome to minti :) Hope you find some usefull things in here amongst all the bitchiness
i am sorry that u had bad experince her but i have been on minti and its not a bad place but they is some bitchness but dont let u get u down as like emmysmum has said on her comments get to know a few more people and u will find some real nice people on here take care mate
I totally agree with you! So many people (including myself) have posted stuff like this on minti about stopping the nastiness....but no matter what happens it all continues!
Sometimes i think parents tend to think that they have more experience so feel their advice is better and tend to try to force their views on others, as well as the views of the health organisations!
And just remember Shamali.... you are entitled to your opinion.... so you have a right to comment....new member or not! Thanks for sharing your feelings!
