Antibiotics?

Hi all i have been to the dentist to get a back tooth pulled out and i had to go back the other day because i was in so much agony and lost 1 whole night of sleep thats how painful it was he has given me antibiotics to take 3 times a day i told him i am still breastfeeding and asked if it was ok for me to take them and breastfeed he said with these ones its fine, but i have noticed a rash on Olivia's chin since taking them, she has her 2 bottom teeth throu already my question is would it be cause of the antibiotics or teething?  thanks for listening.

Antibiotics?
Usually for minor things, Your antibiotic will be Penicillin, amoxicillin or amoxil (Sorry about spelling) they are all the same thing!!! The rash you are describing could be dribble rash, do they have little heads on them? Antibiotics can cause thrush in baby's, either in the mouth or around the mouth or on the nappy area, your Dr should have told you that this would be the only side affect for baby. A long time on antibiotics can cause your milk to dry up a little but that would be after a while on them.... I had pneumonia last year and had 2 courses of 2 different antibiotics, and my milk and bub was fine. good luck with your teeth

Antibiotics?

I had the same problem with my tooth not long ago, the dentist told me to clean the tooth with a tooth pick or try mouth wash and floss. As the tooth is dirty that is what makes it ache. As for the rash i would say its part of teething, both my girls had small rash's from both teething and dribbling.

Best Wishes Blond.

hmm im pretty sure it should be fine if they said it was. Otherwise google the name of the medication and it should give you a list of things you can look at and see. Hope this helps
