Wanting Another So Soon............................

Hi, my son has just turned 3 months old and i LOVE being a mum, i never thought that i would!!!!

I'm getting to the stage that i cant wait to have another little one, its the most important and amazing thing that i have ever done in my life.

We are thinking of trying for our 2nd baby when my son is around 6 months old which isnt a very big gap, but it did take us 2 years to fall pregnant with our son.

Has anyone else had their children so close together? If so, how did you find it?

Re: Wanting Another So Soon............................

you may find that it is easier to get pregnant when you,ve recently had a baby, so be careful what you wish for!!

be sure that you want your children that close together cause you will have your hands full!!

i'm not trying to talk you out of it, but sometimes when you've got a young baby you think you're super woman and it does catch up with you...

but ignore me and go with your heart (i am writting this at 00:11).

lol xxxx.

Thats 15 months apart, my brother and I are that.it's very common.  We loved each other until I was about 8 and then despised each other until I was 21.

Enjoy.

I had five all about a year apart from each other and I guess you have to judge it yourself. After you get through the years when they all need attention at the same time it's better but the first five years are tough. It's hard to sit to breast fed,it's hard to have to watch everyone and change a diaper. Night time isn't....you never sleep cause some one is always up. And morning starts at 5 am and the younger ones never napped cause they are busy keeping up with the oldest!!! I would not change it but I want you to know you will be exhausted.

My eldest was only 4 months old when I fell with #2. So 13 months apart and it was brilliant. All the stages seemed to run together, like terrible 2's; toilet training; etc. Hard work at the time, but well worth it. Now they can be the best of friends or the bitterest of enemies but always stick up for each other no matter what.

yes mind are 13 months apart and i find it was good , they  played togther  and  kept each other amused.it was alot easy for me having them  closed . as there was 12 year gap between the boys and my daugther  and she was a handful l  being the only child so i notice the driffrents  between having them closes and having  one

Hi there, I am currently pregnant with my third and my daughter is only 8 months old so I too am going to be in this situation. I know someone who had 2 babies in 1 year and although they find it hard at times it is also easier because they already had most things they needed and still remember how to deal with everything. The only problem they have is that when it's time for their kids to go to school they're going to be in the same grade due to QLD prep changes. Hope this helps.

Hi, l have a rather large gap between my boys  my 1st and 2nd are 2 years and 1 month, My 2nd and 3rd are 3 years. My 3rd and 4th are 5 years.......hopefully there will be another one soon > trying which will be a 4 year gap. Its not hard as long as you love what you are doing raising your children and enjoy every moment with them.

l do have a friend that has her 2 girls 9 1/2 months apart, she found it hard at times but loved it.

Mine first two are 16 months apart and I was panicked that it would be hard, but it was easy, I don't think it matters how far apart they are anyway you learn to adapt, when my third arrived I thought that would be hard but no again I adapted to a new routine, now I want another.  If your ready go for it x
