3month old baby girl who rubs her gums..

Hi, My 3mths Old baby girl is obessed with sucking her fists which is cute but she gets really fustrated and cranky about trying to fit the whole thing in, she is too little to hold things yet, also some dribbling has commenced...is this teething time so soon?

Also as long as your baby is putting on weight then should I worry about her feeding patterns? Example she sleeps at 7pm everynight without fail after her bath and feed and doesn't wake till 4-6am (fantasic), Then she cluster feeds about 60-100 mls every few hours instead of taking a larger feed she only like to top up... I was warned not to demand feed on bottle but she doesn't like to drink too much at a time so get hungry more often, I have cut down brestfeeding to nights only...she weights in good...should I be stricter on the feeding pattern in the day?

my three month old neices does the same thing. your baby can teeth at any time it could be teething (i was born with a tooth) or it could be that she is wanting a bit more food. although its not recomended my sister in law gives her girls a tablespoon of tin food it helps alot i also did it for my baby. My sister should know as she has 5 daughters (two sets of twins. ) dont worry about your baby sleeping through if shes hungry she'll let you know. when she does wake up dont feed her untill she wants it and try and hold her off for a little longer so you can get her off the topup feeds and onto a full feed.

my baby also dribbled from about 2 months and was big on sucking but she didnt get her teeth till about age 1 if u remember your wisdom and 12 yo molars took awhile to come thru too it tends to be if they teethe for a long time th teeth come thru within a few days when its time instead of a horrible 3 week agony for them, so dribbling is probably nicer in th long run lol and lucky you with th slep routine! congrats!

i would say teething but can be hard to tell

my daughter started the hand and fingers in the mouth around 2 1/2 months and has just turnt 5 months and the teeth have only just started to brake the skin

i would say teething. i was born with 2 teeth and no they didnt fall out till i was 10 or something like that. use a touch of bonjella and try with a teething ring, it will help with the use of hands to. my son was teething at 3 months if i remember right, but they can take their sweet time to come through. my daughter, 3, has not long got her pointy teeth.

re bottle, i would say go with that is comfy for her. she might digest quick and thats why she wants more. charlie couldnt have a full bottle for awhile yet alex wanted more all the time. mind you they both now have hollow legs.

going on my experience it sounds like teething and YES it can be this soon, my youngest is now 12mths old and she was teething from 2 mths old and didn't get her first tooth until a month ago so don't get to excited yet as it still may be a while away some get them quick others it takes time so you won't know until you see that first toothy peg
