seeing lots of babies and pregnant women everywhere

hi all, i have just started working decent hours and very early shifts and am enjoying it for the money sake of it and keeping my work skills up.Just when i get my work like back and Aden in care i get clucky!
My son is 3 in May and sometimes i fret that i wont have another child for him to grow up with in his life. I am seeing pregnant women and babies everwhere and its something i don't want to see because it makes me want another baby and i know i am not ready to have another one yet. Is that normal to want one but you sometimes have to direct your energies elsewhere. I suppose every woman has a different  way of feeling her cluckiness in her child bearing years.

Well, my youngest is only 15 weeks old & when I see a newborn I get clucky too - even thought we are stopping at 2! We always wanted 2 kids & I don't want anymore - at this stage anyway - but I still get clucky! Enjoy it, you know what is best for you so follow your instincts!

I am feeling the same at the moment.  2 of my friends are pregant My SIL has just had her baby and sometimes i think would be nice to have a little brother or sister for joe. I also do want them close together have discussed with my fiancee he would be happy to have one now but to be honest when i think about it i have one reason or another not too. So i suppose i am not ready until i have no excuse to put it off although really do want another one. Glad not the only broody one! x

Cluckiness!!! What a neat way of putting it! I have never heard that term and have seen it used in Q&A but doesn't it just say it all?

You have to do what's right for you. Kids are fine without sisters or brothers,it's us that fret and have issues. I had several children and there's a lot to be said for finacial stability!!!

okey well i have 6 children and my husband and i have decided to have no more!!! i still get clucky though and my youngest is only 5 nearly 6 months old, i think it is just nature, so even though i am not in your exact situation i have been there and do understand and relate to how you feel, i guess you have to ask yourself what you really want out of life, your child bareing years do not last forever and not to mention if you do plan on haveing more your only going to have to stop work later anyway, i know it can be so confuseing trying to work out what the best thing is to do, but all i can say is just go with your feelings because the only gain you will recieve from haveing more children is joy, and your always going to have to make sacrifices when you have more children or any children for that matter, i just look at it as atleast these days you get finacial assistance that helps when you have only one person bringing in an income, i hope this helps in some way

Tell me about it! I had a dream I was pregnant and woke up thinking I was until I was properly awake.  I want another one so badly but I'm a single mum and my life is finally going in the right direction so it's not the right time.  I haven't actually done anything to cause pregnancy for over 4 years now LOL so I don't think it would happen anyway but I just think how nice it would be.  We live in a large house and there's only 2 of us so we have the space, I still have everything from when Hannah was a baby except the clothes.  I have the nappies, the high chair, the bassinette, she has 4 car seats and 2 of those are the birth to 4 ones.  I keep thinking I'm all set up and it won't matter but then I think about leaving work again and it does matter.  I could do it but I don't want to at this stage, I like our family holidays and I like paying more off the home loan then I have to and I love the fact that i don't have to get anyone else in to help with the cost of the house cause I wouldn't want to share again.  Hope this helps just to know you are not alone!

made to be a mum

i think it's just a gut thing some woman are made to be mothers and feel that cluckyness all the time some are made to be aunts and love kids but wouldn't be good with them full time... some are soley career orientated and are focused on their work as their life...  same goes for blokes... some are fathers and some are not some would make good sperm doners lol... the only way they would miss out on anything is if they were unhappy with their choices... there was a study not so long ago that said that people without kids lived longer because of less worry stress... guess we all have to weigh up the pros and cons for having or not having kids  even down to how many we have... i dont however believe that finance is a reason for or aginst because kids will always cost money and unless ya is a millionare and a budget wizz there will be times where financial struggle is gonna happen.... just gotta find the right guy or genes if ya is single...lol... and enjoy the choices you make... :)'s to yall.

i actually read a servey, well it was on a current affair or something or today tonight i think it was, that men and women who are hitched with kiddies live alot longer and happier lives than those who are alone, this is true lol, so maybie the servey you read is for the minority or something cause this was an overal one, anyhow dosn't really matter i guess lol, just thought i'd say i heard different, and not sure what you meant about the finacial part, i was just stateing that back when my grandparents were raising my parents they did it really tough, there was no help for raising children, and they were very poor, and this includes everyone back then, there were the small few that were well of but it was nothing like these days, we should feel blessed for what we have these days, and life should not all about money but it is, we can't eat or home ourselves with out it
