Hi Emmie,

Actually it's nice to hear of someone in a similar boat (not that I'd wish anyone the pains!). My daughter just turned 10 months yesterday. My cycle is regular and generally just crampy but this time, it's darn near killing me. I went to the doctor for some tests, 5 days later the results still aren't back from the lab! I'm going nuts too! My pain is generally on the left hand side and is sometimes sharp and sometimes just there. I find it difficult at times to pick up my daughter as it is so painful. I'll let you know if I find out what it is. I spoke to a midwife who said you can get random pains up to 2 years after having a baby as your body may still be coming back to normal. And a physio has said I may have referred pain from picking up my daughter and straining my back. So I too am none the wiser.

I would deffinately be chasing this up asap.  You might have something left there from the birth that is poisoning your system or something.  You might need a curett which is a scraping out of the uterous (spelling is shocking, bring on spell checker minti dudes).

Please go asap, the longer you leave this the worse it might be, and if it's nothing that a dose of anti-biotics wont clear up then you are feeling better anyway.

Hi - no I have never had this happen - but if I did, I would go straight to the doctor.  You know your body better than anyone else, I think you know it is telling you something isn't quite right.  Get medical attention ASAP - you are an important person, make sure you are treated as such!

Good luck with it - it may be nothing, but there is no reason that you should have to put up with so much pain & worry.

Maybe you should get to a hospital and try to get a scan to see what is happening?

If possible go see a different doctor I haven't had this happen to me but it dosn't sound good. If you are not getting what you need from your usual doctor get a second opinion.
