It depends on if it was a water one or a gel one.  We aren't allowed to use the gel ones at daycare as they can cause tummy upsets (nothing more than that though) but the water ones are made with purified water.  The gel ones soothe the gums better but the gel can cause a tummy ache if ingested.  I would be more worried about bits of plastic getting into her system then what's in the teething ring, did any bits come off?

Hi Emmie, she shoud be fine. As the others have said these are made for bubs & have to be safe. Let us know if it does affect her though.

I wouldn't think so, or it wouldn't be for baby.

I don't think it will harm her in any way, she may get a bit of a tummy upset, but I imagine that would be all. The standards on baby things are extremely high and therefore must comply to local trading standards laws. If you're worried about her, take her to the doctor, or even to a chemist to get her checked out. My advice is to give her plenty of water to drink and that should flush it out of her system anyway. Don't worry too much, my son bit one of his open and swallowed some of the fluid, that was when he was about two, he's fourteen now! So don't worry too much.
